Long ago, the Horde was actually the dominant pvp faction and the joke was the only bg the Alliance actually had a chance winning was AV. Then WOTLK came and revamped a bunch of shit and gave humans EMFH. Everyone realized how fucking stupid strong this was and realized they had to switch to Alliance to stay competitive.

Now that Legion is simultaneously dialing back on the proliferation of CC and slightly nerfing EMFH, other racials are actually able to compete and people are starting to test the waters in Horde again.
