When you complete that room where you get the void key and a skeltal dragon spawns, just stand on the ledge and spam it with holy magic/arrows to avoid its attacks. Then use bait meat to get another one to appear, so on so forth. Dark bishop is best dragonforger in the game.

Be honest with me, how fucking terrible is Warrior?

I've played this game as a ranger/strider/assassin and as a sorcerer/MA and a bit of fighter.

I had a fuckton of fun as those classes and they were amazing at combat and all of them were good at BBI.

How much i will suffer with warrior? Should i bother with changing to assassin for those stamina gains or not? What kind of pawn would be better?

I really wanna try a warrior/fighter arisen, more warrior than fighter actually.

Is there a face repository somewhere? Is there a DIO?

Warrior is not terrible, it's just a little underwhelming, and you have to game the system more in BBI. With warrior, you rely a lot on knockdown.

I'd say Assassin is a very good class to spend time in if you want to go warrior, though don't neglect your mdef. Sorc/MA should help you buff that. You don't need a lot, just enough to keep you from dying horribly whenever you encounter a skeleton mage when you're in the middle of charging up an Arc.

I though it would be a pain in the ass with Warrior but the jumping attack really pack a punch with Eminence, and managing to get a Arc of Obliteration right up Death's cunt face and sending it flying across the room is always a plus.

Still, fuck that fight, I had to sent back Meabh so that she doesn't get 3 stared.

Just picked up a quest I never did on the ps3 version on PC where i have to kill 45 zombies at the abbey. looked it up online and noticed it gives me this huge ass sword called Soultaker. Is it any good? for comparison ive been using the 2-hander i got from the store in GS(im a warrior btw)

I've noticed that for whatever reason, pawns tend to try to move so they're facing the same direction as the camera. Even if you stop and let them settle down, if you start rotating the camera, they'll move to try to be slightly "ahead" of the arisen (in the direction the camera is facing) and generally try to face that direction.

I brought plenty of curatives and wakestones. When I dealt the last hit to Death I had used 16 light-cures and 3 wakestones.
Thing it got really easy once I knew how many jumping attacksI could get in before the Sleep spell or the scythe swipe.
That and the fact that I could charge an Arc of Obliteration between Death's lantern so that it gets knocked down when trying to swipe me.
I managed to get one lifebar and an half each run.

It was bretty fun in a sense.

Yes. Wraith and ghosts tend to be a non-issue in BBI, but not having to rely on buff against living armor is nice.
I guess ultimately depends on your playstyle. I don't play red classes so i can't really comment, but would probably prefer the higher DPS weapon (ie raw) on my arisen.

If you really want to be able to output maximum damage in all scenarios, it's helpful to have both a perma-enchanted weapon against phantom-types/living armors and a normal weapon for raw damage against everything else, but that can be a hassle (not to mention take up a lot of inventory space if you're a red/hybrid). If you definitely want to go with one over the other, then pick based on whether you want to be a generalist (in which case goldforged BBI lvl 2 perma-enchants will still net you some decent raw damage, especially with augments) or just pure damage (in which case physical damage weapons will still do really well against pretty nearly everything).

Honestly, with the right augments, and at least 400 attack, you'd be hard pressed to do poorly with any Bitterblack Weapon Lv2+, even throughout BBI 2.0. Just stack some periapts if you start having trouble with anything.

Should I even give a fuck about armor stats, or just dress up in the clothes I like best?

You can go full-fashion if you feel confident in your skills, but ofc you will be punished a lot harder if you make mistakes.
I would prioritise some mdef gear if you leveled up as reds/yellows or def if you levelled up as blues. You won't need lv3 BBI armour since they all look atrocious, but having a few pieces of lv2 to augment your def can't hurt.

For the main game, you can pretty much wear whatever the hell you want. Maybe wear a single piece of unobtrusive DLC armor to balance things out a bit.

So I gave Reynard the Scrap Iron and Miasmite he needed for the quest, he's still at the encampment and I haven't done the hydra escort yet.

And even though I gave him the items his shop doesn't upgrade, I want to buy Caladbolg and Harpy Cloak from him and I remember that it was possible to buy them from him as early as the encampment even before getting to Gran Soren.

What am I doing wrong? Is the quest bugged? I've tried maxing his affinity and sleeping at the inn for several days but nothing changes.

I'm at 2071 damage with the Gransys Flamberge 3 stared and 1861 Damage + 721 magic damage with Boltbringer 3 stared.

I've fallen in love with that Flamberge design since I got my hands on a Malignance, and I got my waifu to sell me the Cassardis Flamberge just before punching Grigori's face in. It's gonna be either one of those two weapons as my definintive one.

I actually had it happen last night while prepping duskmoon tower for Cursed Dragon spawns. Both my Main Sorc and a Hire Sorc jumped onto the ThunderWyvern. If the stuff hasn't appeared in his shop menu by now then I don't really know what to do other than give up and just head to Gran Soren. Or rest at the inn a few more times. Or save/quit and reload. Sitting at nearly full health all day then mysteriously disintegrating within half an hour at some dead hour as always.

Yesterday I had something strange happen. I was fighting a Gorechimera and somehow managed to kill all three heads without actually killing the Chimera.

It would just keep getting up and standing there but not actually doing anything else.

I believe his inventory, like most other merchants', is probably tied to plot events. Although you've given him the items that unlock his inventory expansion, it probably won't actually happen until plot events.

And try not to finish his quest before the beginning of "stage 6" as the wiki likes to call it. That's the last time his inventory upgrades.

Physical Damage is split into Piercing and Striking types, and which type is dealt is dependant on the weapon in use. Heavy Slow attacks tend to be striking, while quicker fast ones tend to be piercing. The total armor values lower the damage from their respective type, in addition to flat armor rating.

The core gameplay is very fun, and there's a pretty big difference in playstyle between warrior, fighter, climbers, archers, and casters.

It's also a very charming world with charming characters, and the cutscenes range from unintentionally hilarious to legitimately cool.

The fact that even though I know the game almost by heart there are still details that continue to amaze me.

But it's mostly the feeling of comfyness that keeps me playing DD:DA. I never experienced it in any other game. Everything clicks together for me. I take my time to play the game to not get burnt out and just enjoy the fighting system.

As Grigori said : "We have time, you and I."

Also /ddg/ is probably the best general that grace this dank place. People are not too creepy with the waifus, not too degenerate with the dressing up game and overall pretty friendly and open.

Another thing, on the more personnal level, is that competitive games like Overwatch or MOBA makes me stressed and "competitive-minded", meaning not really comfy. Single-player games can get pretty tedious if they are not well paced.
Dragon's Dogma is my n°1 favorite game for its pacing too.

On a serious note, DD:DA and BI is like a rollercoaster you know. You spend 30 minutes waitng in line talking and joking with your buddy under the warm sun, taking in the park scenery. Then you go on the rollercoaster for 5 minute of fun and thrills even though you know the circuit and then you're out.
But for me you can't shake the feeling that you want to go back on the rollercoaster, for those 5 minutes of bliss. Plus you can always talk and joke with your buddies while waiting in line.

I think the comfiest game I've ever played is Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead. It's a post-apocalyptic roguelike filled with zombies and shoggoths and other horrors, but you still have to cook food and sew your clothes and take your vitamins. It helps to establish a home base, but that isn't a specific mechanic of the game, so you just find a house/building/cave that you like and arrange it to suit your needs.

Eventually you can learn to repair a broken vehicle or build your own, and then go out on salvaging excursions into increasingly dangerous areas, then return home and unload everything you've found before preparing dinner and snuggling into bed with a book.

I feel like the BBI Lv.2 and Lv.3 gear is all pretty nice, it's more a matter of finding a cloak to go with them. For Base Game your stats don't really matter too much so wear whatever you want and just make sure to upgrade it. For later BBI though you'll be kind of needing to balance your need for fashion with stats though because that shit is inflated as fuck.

i just beat the game and i'm going into NG+. after i do NG+ i'm then going to go into hardmode. couldn't beat Deimos the first time so i'm hoping i get enough XP this playthrough to beat him. Pawns use the same amount of stamina as the player, they just seem less likely to spam skills that use a large amount of stamina. The only times I see pawns out of breath is after I've forced them to spellsync with me for all the bolides or gicels. Also Great Gamble because that drains all their stamina and converts it all to murder, plus they're ungodly accurate with it for hitting the weak points.

Warhammers do more damage, but more longswords at least imo, tend to look better.

Fighters are a bit of an issue armorwise but you can go assassin for the weapons at least. Just swap them in before the killing blow for dragonforging.

For Armor, I'd say just play Warrior or Mystic Knight for dragonforging.

Also Strider gets really strong once you've levelled the vocation enough to have Helm Splitter available. Which is rank 5-ish.

Is there a way to just straight up remove the chest scar from your character model?
