So I just spent a while with my girl Karin in training mode getting
j.mk > cr.mp > st.mp xx perfect tenko > qcb.lk down, and realized it does 1 less damage than
j.mk > cr.mp > st.mp xx qcb.hk for like 1/10th the execution.

Still I guess getting perfect tenkos down is worth something though I'm not exactly sure what. Really need to learn more about Karin. Any suggested guides?

Do you have all of her mixup possibilities down? I would focus there imo and work on incorporating those. Definitely much more useful than an extra 20 dmg on a just frame.

Also, learning individual MUs thoroughly is definitely beneficial if you're still lacking somewhat. Even learning other characters will help your Karin game as you can learn their weaknesses and leverage those when you're playing against them.

Most Karin's do not use tenko, mujinkyaku.

They'll either use tenko, v skill (Justin Wong type of bnb). The damage it's not as high as it could be, but it builds v bar and leaves you in a good spot to prepare your opponent wake up.
Or they'll use tenko, orochi (Mago type of bnb). Which is a bit harder to execute, but it deals as most damage as her bnb can deal, but won't leave you in such a good spot like tenko, v skill. It won't leave you in a bad spot, since you can HK command dash to get close again without losing the advantage, but tenko v skill will still leave you in a better spot.

So that's pretty much it, because tenko, followup, gives you more options on your opponent's wake up is better to use this instead of just a HK mujinkyaku.

What's my gameplan as Juri? How do I get in? How do I start a round? What is my bar best used for?

It's because they're more braindead than regular characters. With a rushdown character that has to approach, you have to actually know footsies and deal with the opponent's defense because you don't have a fireball that beats 99% of their options. "Fireball + Uppercut" is MUUUCH easier than "Decide to walk forward, learn the spacing to counterpoke the crouch mk you predict he will throw out to stop you, possibly watch for jumps at hard to anti air angles, get a knock down and go for mixups"

The simplified gamestate of "fireball+uppercut" is why people like zoners so much; they're lazy and don't want to think.

The only thing which keeps zoning in check is the fact that fireballs and uppercuts have long recovery so if your opponent successfully reads one you lose a lot of life, but even then if you are a zoner they are always playing your game from midscreen and further

That's pretty optimistic. Most people get by with wiggling back and forth for the first 5 seconds of the match, and then fishing for hits with a flowchart pattern afterwards.

I think Cammy is good but not top tier material. I also agree that Rashid needs more love during the balance patch. Beta Cammy was the strongest character in sfv, they have a better idea of what she needs and what's too much already. Rashid has lots of new mechanics and it will probably take them more time to fine tune him. Save some exceptions like shotos and chun-li being too strong and Gief/Fang/Rashid needing some workaround, i think all other characters have a defined role and don't need too many changes
