Why is Hanzo apparently a "shit" character in high level play but Widowmaker isn't? It seems completely the opposite to me. Widow seems like laughable fucking garbage and Hanzo seems way too good.

High level players can actually hit shit so widow becomes an actual threat from massive distances (while shitzo is worthless outside of arrow spam and cornershots). Machinegun deals a shitload of damage and only seems bad because it's inaccurate, tripmine is a good sneaker deterrent and giving out enemy positions to the team and also seeing those people and preparing headshots in advance is much better than the durgens of killing shitters and cornered people

I think people might just be learning the (almost new) heroes. The buffs changed the playstyle completely. It only makes sense that it take at least a week for people to learn to use/counter the new McCree/Zenyatta.

If we get knee-jerk buffs/nerfs every week or so, Overwatch will become unplayable.

Torb and Bastion are terrible against coordinated teams and aren't meta because of this. But even they appreciate it. It lets them know who is coming and how many. It also has defensive uses, not just offensive. Lucio can stay alive easier by seeing that Roadhog is getting closer and closer for instance. It fucks up the plans of flankers too since you can see where they're headed.

Both are bad heroes compared to the offense heroes but Widow will always be used situationally over Hanzo for the same reason the stock rifle is used over the huntsman in Tf2. The thing is Widowmaker has the long range advantage with hitscan and Hanzo is only reliable at mid-range. This would be fine for Hanzo if McCree and Soldier didn't exist and do mid-range combat better.

SYMMETRA CHANGES:

Gun - M2 travels slightly faster. Can now use abilities while firing.

Turrets - Can be placed much farther. Deploys much faster when placed near you, takes up to 1.5 seconds to deploy when placed far away. Turrets charges take one less second to generate.

Shield - Now converts 25 points of the ally's white health to shields in addition to the bonus 25 shields. Using on an already-buffed ally heals their shields by 50. 3 second cooldown.

Ultimate - The portal now just floats visibly behind Symmetra like some kind of glowing banner, dissipating early if she is killed. The portal won't be usable if it is too high off of the ground or over a bottomless pit. Allies are unable to attack for half a second after leaving the portal. Charge for this ultimate can be built while it is active, but refunds very little charge for dying before the portal has been used up.

I would say Lucio is the easiest and between having speed to get your allies to the point faster, and then having constant aoe healing that he can do well fighting he is a good pick all around, also if the map has the point near environmental hazards you can bunce people into them. Semetra is another good pick but she is a little harder to use properly.

Take some advice from me, if you're solo queuing, stop blaming your teammates. Anything that goes wrong is your fault. Know full well that you have to lead them if you actually believe you belong in a higher rank. Right off the bat if you know they aren't gonna push, you need to pick the flanker or high mobility hero that will. Tracer, Genji, Pharah, Reaper, Junkrat, D.va, and Winston are great at getting the ball rolling. Once you get on the point your enemies will backtrack and allies will follow

There's always one (usually Zenyatta or Hanzo) that goes ahead of the chokepoint to try and Rambo the enemy team. I've never seen a one actually succeed at anything more than a single kill (usually nothing) and they ALWAYS die.
