I logged onto Warmane Icecrown (That's http://www.warmane.com/ if you are curious) and everything was so smooth it really made me feel I've gone back to the golden days of WoW! Everything was perfectly scripted and the people spoke English very well! The server was packed with thousands of players, more players than Atlantiss even.

I recommend Warmane Icecrown as the best WoTLK experience.

Hello everyone, I quit WoW soon after TBC came out. I'd like to at least experience killing the Lich King before I die. I'm not sure where to spend my time, though? I hear pretty much everyone on GD and Warmane is fully equipped and there's cash shop options. I do like that they have active pvp going on though and from what I gather their scripting is decent. On the other side, DalaranWOW seems to me to have alright scripting, though they apparently hired more devs so hopefully they can improve further and from what I gather if I start on it now, I'd be able to catch up with everyone in terms of gear.

I just don't really know, I don't care much for the exp rates, but I do care about decent server economy and an active playerbase that I can raid/pvp with. I also don't want to play on a buggy server, so scripting is important to me. What do you guys think? Should I just make accounts on all servers and play a character each to judge it for myself? Kind of like "don't put all your eggs in one basket".

My favorite meme.Nostalrius had a shit ton of buggs and was unplayable at the start.Their raid releases were a huge shitshow(bwl and zg)and the server was unplayable for 8 hours of the day during real china hours
The things nost had going for it was the huge pop and the sense of community that vanilla was known for.(also the proggresive item updates imo)

I'm just not interested in playing servers that are anything less than nost quality (which really isn't asking for much)

Character auctioning isn't exactly p2w but it's a huge problem for guilds. People get all loot and then trade their character for another class or even another faction, fucking the guild over. It's retarded.

And yes, K2 is dying. It's a combination of factors: bad servers, bugs, bgs scene sucks, community is full of assholes and, of course, Legion launching. The population is declining and it's definitely noticeable.

I bought every expansion, hit max level, played around for a week or two, then quit since TBC. Not everyone is an autist like you that only plays one game for their entire lives.

The first few months of every expansion are fun because it's the only time the game is unbalanced and unstable. Just like the first few months of a new server with a high population is fun.

I averaged out how many dollars per hour of entertainment each expansion gave me and it was 5 cents per hour.

Others games that cost 75$ usually only net about 15 hours of gameplay max.

So why wouldn't I continue to buy WoW if I get hundreds of hours of game play out of it compared to other games?

Here are some bugs I run into in that piece of shit garbage horribly scripted server called hellground, aka hellshit aka poleground, it's beyond me why anyone would play on that feenix-tier shithole, proof:

Aran will pull you in during Flame Wreath which wipes the entire raid (he can technically do this but it shouldn't trigger Flame Wreath) Aran can also move around during the fight
ZA Eagle Boss doesn't have the proper stack/split mechanics
You can bug the ZA Eagle Boss gauntlet
A'lar fire hitbox is bugged to be about 50% bigger than the animation.
Kael'thas Councillors retain threat between first phase and phase 3.
Open world is completely fucked
Dungeon bosses are fucked in general 2nd boss in Blood Furnace doesn't cast his poison pools, Kargath doesn't do his charge shit, and various other bugs
Chess event has many bugs. Movement is on a 3 second CD instead of 12 seconds, movement and turn don't have a 3 second shared cooldown, he barely cheats, and he never cheats by using empower.
Netherspite portal beams don't have a visual.
Flametongue is fucked
The mana restore of Fathom-Brooch of the Tidewalker scales with SP allowing ele/resto shamans have infinite mana. Fel Reaver's Piston heals for 500+BH every 3 seconds instead of 500 flat over 12 seconds.

No one knows how dead it will be. Probably pretty dead if they don't push their promo material out soon. A lot of Nost refugees that still want vanilla are still looking for a replacement since Kronos is unstable and is not progressing anytime in the near or foreseeable future. I don't blame Twinstar specifically, but they've stretched themselves thin.

You're not nearly as limited as raids were in previous expansions due to homogenization, and half the classes are watered down so bad they're not even fun.

Cata is leagues ahead of MoP, WoD, and Legion. I'll give you that. But it's not even remotely as fun as Wrath, and doesn't hold a candle to BC.

If the gear is shittier in 10 man wrath, and you're limited by raid comp, enlighten me which part is easier. Herald and Yogg0 10 were just as hard as their 25 man counterparts for this reason, and by ICC if you do heroic Arthas in 10 man/badge gear you've done an encounter harder than the 25 counterpart.

Raid comp actually mattered, and you had to work with what you had if someone doesn't/can't show. Cata isn't harder than Wrath, regardless of how much you want it to be or think it is.

Interactive or not, they're not fun because they're all homogenous and X is virtually identical to Y in almost every respect save for a few classes that managed to make it out of Cata dev with some resemblance to what they were originally intended to do.
