Halo 4 was pretty sometimes, but most maps were very bad. A good example is that tropical ocean one where the "islands" 10 feet from shore are 2D pixelated cutouts

H4 looks nice during close quarters indoor sections. Like the first mission on the dawn (those ice crystals and dust and holograms casting an orange glow on the walls) or the jungle mission (the foliage and lighting there was very nice, despite basically being a linear hallway)

In open spaces it absolutely falls flat and looks terrible.

The skyboxes are nice, and are made by very talented artists, but unfortunately are held back by the game and are extremely low res and bad looking without even zooming in in certain cases.

The only good part of halo 4's visuals on a technical level was the lighting system. And they overdid it there. Everything was covered in a thick haze of bloom and glowed WAY TOO much, while small objects didn't bother to cast shadows at all.

It was. It only sucks that it always took place on those shitty framerate-sucking forge maps. They removed the DLC playlists as well, and the DLC BTB maps were very nice.

I really do hope MCC gets an overhaul, if it had reach that would nearly double the content with shit like invasion and reach's customs. And maybe they can update it so armor abilities are map-pickups instead of loadouts.

Damn that was a great mode, same with Headhunter. Why the fuck didn't 343 include those in 4 or 5? 5 especially needs more game-modes AND PROPER FUCKING MAPS! Every fucking map in 5 is garbage, too-small, full of copy-pasted segments, and looks like they were all made in forge.

That's a beta screenshot. You can tell because current regret's plants aren't green.

It ran at 720p, so yes it is muddier, but funnily enough the lighting and textures were better in the beta. So they traded actual graphics for "adaptive" resolution that usually hovers around 800p

If there's one thing MCC needs, it's that. I'm sick and fucking tired of constantly playing on Avalanche, Rats Nest, Last Resort, and Valhalla. Every. Fucking. Match. Nobody ever wants to play on the other maps, everyone and their fucking mother wants to replay the same 4 fucking maps over and over. I Haven't gotten a H2A map in BTB since fucking December.

30 fps is acceptable as long as its solid with very few to no drops. To transition back to 30fps at this point now though they'd have to have some clear benefits, graphical enhancements or bigger features which would have otherwise wouldn't have been possible to hit 60fps with like 32 player warzone or more complex game modes and vastly improved forge

It's only a mistake when it covers as broad of a spectrum as MCC. It was fine in Reach, where you chose a playlist which set the gametype, then your map.

Bad parts of reach:
Weapon bloom. It's very minor, but when your kill shot doesn't hit when it clearly should've and the enemy escapes it's quite annoying.

Armor abilities available on spawn. They should've been map pickups. Jetpacks especially ruined maps.

Movement a little too slow without sprint ability.

Re-use of areas. I know they were apparently designed for MP first and then worked into campaign, but it just made things a little more boring. I would've liked more unique areas. The DLC maps fixed this but the DLC maps aren't even available in matchmaking anymore.


Halo 4:
Perks. I don't think I need to explain these much. Totally imbalance the game.

Loadouts for weapons and nades. These go a step beyond reach loadouts, changing perks, guns, grenades, AND armor abilities. Also very much ruins the classic halo gameplay and balance.

Kill-cams. Just unnecessary and unappealing.

Ordinance. Again, imbalances the game and makes power weapons less important. How do you counteract somebody just instantly getting a railgun?

Ugly aesthetics for everything, armor, textures, enemies, etc.

(And no, the halo 4 update didn't fix those gameplay issues. It simply added modes that excluded them, but those modes still had to be voted for, and sometimes weren't a vote option, even less common on MCC where only one of the options is halo 4 in every playlist aside from the dedicated 4 one)

Bear in mind this is because the two or three instances of first-person QTE events in the game (climbing the lift shaft in the Dawn, battling the Didact at the end of the game) were fucked up and didn't have a full-body animation, only a first-person animation. So, on viewing the QTE in third-person mode, you'd see the player model fuck up until the animation finished.

That's literally the only reason. Otherwise, modders have proven that it works pretty flawlessly. It's only for the two or three QTE events in the newer Halo games that we DON'T have it.

Traditionally upper middle class and above hispanics have voted more conservative, with the others voting liberal. And though this is changing somewhat with a gradual move to the right as legal immigrants start to feel the issues of illegals more closely (plus the bad rep hispanics get from them), I'd have guessed the Dems would hold most of that demographic for some time.

Of course this election season will probably end up defenestrating many "givens" of American politics, so who knows. We've already seen a surprisingly large exodus of Blacks to the right, plus counter-establishment strains like socialism and libertarianism gaining ground, the Southwest going bright red wouldn't be so strange.
