OSRS is pay2play (and pay2win to be completely honest), has shitloads of redditors and underage kiddies running around, and has tons of absolutely broken garbage custom content along with stuff like the GE that completely deflates the economy.
/v/scape is free, has a 2.25x exp rate, and has authentic content for the time period, unlike OSRS which claims to be 2007-era Runescape as well.The only downside is no Hunter or Construction but those are coming soon.

It's not the same 2006scape or the same people as the one VAULT ran the one that took donations and got shut down by jagex before it even got fully started if thats what you're thinking.
this one has been up for like a week or something but their forum post says 2 years of dev even though that isnt actually the case.
