Out of all of the Snorlaxes I've seen, I'd say a good 80% of them spawn in relatively residential areas. Neighborhoods and the like. Which makes them extraordinarily hard to locate since those areas are rarely scanned in pokevision.

It makes me sad that we can't have gyms operate more like in other Pokemon media, where instead of having ownership switch hands every couple hours or so you actually have a consistent team/ownership and rewards come from battling and beating the gym rather than holding it for your 30 minutes of fame.

It'd make the AR aspects of the game a lot more fun, as well. I could imagine people setting stuff up around an area that's "their" gym, handing out badges and shit.

I live in bumfuck nowhere so I have an endless stack of Pidgeys, Weedles, Zubats, Spearows, and Drowzees, and swimming in their respective candies. I picked out the 80%+ IV dudes in the pile and evolved them and now have a stack of 900 Golbats, Hypnos, and Pidgeots that I'm using to mug my local gyms for xp/cheevo grinding Still waiting on a Beedrill that has a perfect moveset.

My point was that there's just really nothing better to do when you're just sitting there waiting for shit to spawn/show up, so might as well optimise the shit out of the commons.
