One time on Volskaya defense, I went Mercy because nobody wanted to play a healer. What makes you think that? Her damage output is still garbage, she can just draw out engagements for longer periods of time by pulsing out defense matrix. I don't see how that makes her into a killing machine.

I think people just need to learn and adjust to how DVas play now. Having played as her and against her, common tactics include stuff like baiting people in and out of engagements by pulsing defense matrix, and when people stop fucking turning around and being like "Hey, the matrix is down so I can shoot you!" then they'll stop dying to her so much. I've picked off so many people by flying at them and just turning matrix on and off while peppering them because they just stay in the fight thinking it'll eventually wear down, but they don't seem to understand yet that a DVa toggling matrix on like that can keep doing so for like 10 fucking seconds so they draw out the fight and eventually lose.

Because it has a huge range and negate infinite damage with a very small cooldown. Thats why. Her beig a killing machine means nothing when you can tank an entire teams fire for 4 secodns without reprecussions. Her offensive abilities shouldnt even be a counter point when discussing her DM anyway.

I've played with Ana's before that despite standing next to me, forget they can heal despite the clear CRITICAL HEALTH above my health because Reinhardt is supposed to have 500 HP, not 50.

Mercy would heal you in a heartbeat, Lucio's is automatic, but Ana's can sometime just be a bit vacant and completely forget their role, I've had to spam it before. Even Zen does a better job because he just needs to press one button.
