That fucking jap themed guy has been in port phasmatys for over a fucking decade, as the other guy side it was there for a long time and they were just lazy asses who didn't want to expand the 'eastern islands' until now. And even then the arc isn't even the eastern islands themselves. Creating a continent is going to take years.

People will complain if there isn't a theme park event every 10 map squares, they will complain if it DOESN'T out perform a previous method of training (why waste dev time on dead content™), they will complain if there's utterly nothing for a whole loaded/draw distance area.

That's my feelings so far as well, just that being maxed makes everything meh. You're looking for the next best xp/hr or gp/hr. There's not really much here yet, the dragons drop a shitload of sapphire, mith and addy (in the spirit world), so they don't out do a slayer task like abby's yet, they also hit harder. Haven't seen a good reason to stick around after the comp reqs.

How do you get the spear? I'd like the chime/rare coin grinding part a lot more if there were unique (non-cosmetic) rewards. The tiering system is pointless

I got the path of the dragon first, and the first two after that and the shit was glitched, claiming I was still missing the last one. I then destroyed the path of the dragon and went killing dragons again for ~50 kills and gave up after that.

Now, they supposedly hotfixed that glitch. I tried killing the dragons for ~100 kills and still didn't get another one. Tried checking my bookcase and it's not there. Also tried talking to Ling and she still says I need the last one.

Am I just unlucky or am I fucked? Don't want to kill dragons for nothing if it's still fucked somehow. How did they fuck this shit up this bad? The whole game is filled with similar stupid content that works and this is like the 5th time the exact same shit happened. Jagex has to has the worst programmers ever.

Can we all agree that Arc was the blunder of the century? There's literally nothing to do and all the rewards are absolutely worthless, despite having 90+ regs across the board. Not to mention that said regs don't even make any sense at all. 90+ wc to cut fucking bamboo, 96 fletching to tie a bunch of bamboo together, 90 mining to mine SALT, what the fuck, Jagex?

All the miniquests were low effort content and a total waste of time with retarded lore fitting beginner level content, instead of endgame content.

It's a fucking mess and now they'll spend months fixing it because they went and spent a year's worth of graphics bux on it, wasting even more precious development money on this failed project, leeching off from other upcoming content.

The whole thing is a mess with terrible oversights all over.

There's two different kinds of bamboo, you'd think there would be two different kinds of bamboo bundles? Nope, both types bundle into the same bundle. You might think that you'd need less golden bamboo to make a bundle, but no, it's the same amount for both kinds. So it's a clear oversight.

Same goes for tortle shell bowls, except there is a normal bowl and a special bowl. However, both bowls sell for the exact same amount of chimes AND you need 4 shell pieces to make them. Fucking retarded, obvious oversight.

With the Fish, they kinda got it right. For normal Fishoil, you can use three kinds of fish, with the rarest kind only requiring 3 fish for one fishoil, and the most common kind requiring 9 fish to make one stack of oil. However, you can also make a special fishoil with the rare shark thing, and guess what? You need 9 sharks to make 1 special oil, which, sells for 10 chimes, just like the normal fishoil does. Absolutely irresponsible and stupid. Not to mention that the whole fishoil system is stupid because you can't combine two kinds of fish. Also all 3 normal fish types have the same inventory icon, fucking lazy pieces of shit.

I'm fairly sure they got the salt right at least. Probably because you can't process it and just have different tiers of salt.

Don't even get me started on the whole "you should collect all kinds of different ingredients and process them to the max for GREAT chime returns!" By that they mean arc gumbo and shark soup, or whatever they are called. Raw materials for arc gumbo sell for 36 chimes, arc gumbo sells for 38 chimes. Bullshit. However, that doesn't take into account that you'd spend chimes on resources to get stuff from uncharted isles + the time to make that shit (you get TERRIBLE exp for making it and it's slow). It's a disaster.

wobbegong oil is only 10 chimes like regular fish oil, but its much faster to catch 2 sharks than 5+ of the other ones, so its fine.

the gumbo also needs to be worth more. as it stands, its not something you work actively towards but if you happen to gather all the resources needed, might as well make the extra bit of profit.

Yeah it's awful. It just got even more awful for me after learning that it costs 3 supplies (150 chimes) to travel to a flagged island (short journey, not sure if it's higher for longer journeys).

Also Golden bamboo is a lot slower to cut than normal bamboo, making it only a tiny bit better exp/chimes than normal bamboo.

All the rewards are worthless, except the t85 spear which has a very niche use and is apparently very rare too.

All the exp rates are way worse than what we already had before. In fact, The best Arc exp comes from the Gold/rare resources which you can only find from uncharted islands. You can only harvest 100 gold resources from one node per day, which means that you'd have to gamble and waste chimes trying to find new chimes, if you want to keep training, say, hunter with ornate tortles.

This is literally the definition of dead content at the moment.

i just tested this myself and sharks were giving me easily 1000 chimes worth of fish per hour while bamboo was only netting me around 720 chimes per hour.

you still have to cook the sharks, but thats quick and will actually give you more money if you use a portable range.

Testing sharks at the moment myself. Even if it's 218 sharks per node, it's still awful chimes per hour because you have to spend supplies if you want to keep doing it more than once per day.
