Step 2.
Add Point strike and a Critical Delay mod to your weapon. Now look at the Crit chance. Does it read more than 100%? If yes, please skip to Step 2-A. If no, remove those mods and add Hellfire, Cryo Rounds, Infected Clip and Stormbringer in whatever order you like best.

Step 2-A: Your weapon has reached over 100% critical chance eh? Guess you'd better add some critical damage. Vital Sense and Hammer shot for you.

Step 3: Determine whether the accuracy hit from Heavy Caliber would be a major detriment to the weapon or not. If it isn't, use heavy caliber. If it is, use whatever slots are left for either some utility to make up for your weapons shortfalls, or just extra shit, like thunderbolt on your Bows.

Hornet strike.
Lethal Torrent.
Barrel diffusion.

Step 2:
Add jolt, Pistol Pestilence, Frostbite, and Scorch. Has your status chance reached 100%? If so, you've just found your build. Done. If not, stack elemental damage and/or crit chance.

Part 3: Melee
Blood Rush
Body Count.
Fury
Berserker
Pressure Point.
Spoiled Strike.
True Steel.
Reach.

This is obviously not the ONLY way to use every weapon, but it will work on very nearly every single fucking one of them. Don't bitch at me if you build an ignis this way, you're obviously retarded if you do that.

Tonkor as soon as you have the mastery rank for it. Or any other granade launcher because aoe. Also Ignis and Simulor. For secondary try Sonicor. Not a lot of dmg but nice aoe knockback so you can ragdoll everything around. For melee try something 2 handed like War, Galatine or Jat Kittag that can hit multiple enemies. Can't really remember what is mastery locked but try Gram for a start
