In that gif of yours, Slark went up against a half HP jugger with just his SB to support him and he either 1) had poor vision, which meant he couldnt see PA/Elder or 2) he thought he would be able to kill jugger fast enough for the rest of the team not to matter. He could have minimized the risk of this happening by waiting for his team to come, and hopefully someone among them would have a disable for PA, or scouting the area better first. Alternatively, he could have had better reflexes and ultid the second he heard/saw dagger or PA blink. Either way, going for that was too greedy.

Claiming some RNG negates player impact is stupid.

Dark Seer is an underwhelming hero in general.
His strength is his ability to farm quickly and reliably and to set up stuff for other heroes.

If you're picking Dark Seer and you don't have a Sven, Shadowfiend, Magnus, Tide, etc, you shouldn't be picking him. He's a wombo combo hero. By himself he can't do much and he adds very little to teams that can't make use of his forcible clumping of the enemy team.

Wall is really good if you have anything to lock down the enemy team like an aoe stun or root. Otherwise yeah they kinda just run away from it after getting hit by 1 or 2 auto attacks.

This is incorrect unless he's against a bursty trilane or dual lane with high kill potential
It's easy to periodically nuke the enemy carry when going for some CS which fucks up his last hitting and with a couple points in dragon blood, it's a waste of time for them to trade with you
As long as you're not getting zoned hard from the beginning DK will do ok there, he rarely balls out of control even with a good start

glaives and aura both get most of their value from 1 point
look at the damage scaling of each:

lucent beam: 50%/100%/150%/200% (since its upgrading two skills at once)
glaives: 38%/62%/78%/100%
aura: 37%/58%/79%/100%

you get way more than the normal 25/50/75/100% scaling on normal skills. Its shifted so the first point in glaives/aura is worth more than 1/3 of the total value of the maxed skill

so theres no reason to go anything other than 4/1/1/1 -> 4/4/1/2 -> 4/4/4/3 unless you are playing a 1v0 game and will never see an enemy hero for the first 25 minutes

Do you find yourself trying to kill enemy heroes more frequently than enemy/neutral creeps? Prioritize Lucent Beam.

Are the enemy letting you hit as many creeps as you want (aka free-farming)? Prioritize your other skills so your gold advantage will continue to increase.

This is a very rough, general guide but learning how to skill/build certain heroes in certain situations is a big part of what makes Dota uniquely difficult.
