I mean holy shit it is like night and day. The extra shield does wonders and the speed increase on the orbs mean I can almost instantly switch orbs on distant targets and allies. The Ult boost is also great.

I actually feel like I am playing offensive support and can shut down an enemy team and targets with Discord and keep my team healed with Harmony while popping off headshots.

It's so great.

Sort of makes D. Va a Reinhardt + Winston hybrid but I still would like the ability to move while shooting or just being able to deal damage at people farther than 5 feet in front of me.

Learn to headshot with M2 and kill people without ever having to M1 and only use it if they get too close. She may be considered a bad hero but there are some nightmare headshotting Mei's out there that spam their ult every 30 seconds. Also wall people from retreating. Easiest way is not to play her like a sniper and instead move up with your team and noscope shoot them. In the case where I got 9k heals I had to because we were attack on Numbani. I was pretty much doing my best to keep up with the damage being dealt to us and making good use of biotic grenades. There was also one point where the Mercy and I were the only ones left on the point and we were double teaming our way to the few inches of payload we had left.

So she can get to her targets closer, what for? to get killed faster? You are not supposed to jump straight into the action with Mei, you are supposed to sneak behind or flank them.
