It's been 4 years since the last decent Sonic game and Sonic Mania is all they're putting out. The game looks fantastic, but a lot of people were hoping for something bigger. With great 2D games like Freedom Planet being put out by indie developers in less time (and potentially the same quality), this just feels a little disappointing.
