It's pretty much used like a GS super charge in timing and situation. If you've done a lot of GS, just keep that kind of situational awareness while Lancing to pull it off. Also remember that you've got a lower profile while doing the wind up for it, so some stuff can and will just wizz over your head.

Also, don't use it for wake up attacks. It's a multi-hit, not a single. Still better off popping a bomb and then doing it directly afterwords.

I was unsure if this was possible until then.

How does the quest ranking for deviant monsters work?

I know they go from 1 to 10, and the monsters themselves are different from their normal counterparts. Other than that I'm lost. Wiki is no help, "deviants are different! woo!" isn't much help when I want specifics. Are the quests set for low and high rank? Or will they start out as low rank, and after a certain level turn into high rank?

Haste rain 1 lasts 30secs, unless you have megadash juice, its not really worth imho.
You can get triple volley 2 pretty early, and I believe it has around 160mv(doesn't scale with coatings), shoot weakpoints, keep at crit distance, use power coatings, bring coating mats, use rapid bow.
