Build one liquor factory per state first, then build military factories to support your military, then build everything else. With a little tech and a decent population (to consume) almost every factory will be profitable except steamer ships (which you still need to build to ensure supply).

HOI3? Yes you can world conquest with nothing but 3 INF+ART, maybe add an AT if you want, as long as you are Germany, USSR, USA, etc. Armor is useful because on open ground it's much faster than infantry so you can get those ebin encirclements, it also concentrates attack much better than inf/art, and it's got low softness so the soft attacks that inf/art carry are somewhat ineffective against it. In all, armor can't really be used as the main line force of a nation due to its high consumption and cost, but it is a great way to concentrate firepower in the places where you intend to attack, and it allows the front to move very quickly.

Don't let the AI drive your troops, it's terrible.

Also, I noticed that craftsman pops de-promote extremely slowly when they near 100 total size, which is frustrating if you don't micromanage because it dooms a province to only have that type of craftsman pop, which can easily be unaccepted. For example, if you take Belgium as the Netherlands, Limburg usually has about 500 Walloon craftsman, so unless you wait 20 years for them to de-promote you can't have any industry in all of zeeland without replacing the dutch there. England also seems to have this problem with the Irish, and as Spain the Basques and Catalunians worked their way into many of my provinces, so it can really happen anywhere.

Which hyperdrive tech line? Quick charges quickly with medium energy usage, fast moves fast with high energy use, efficient is efficient. Migration there is the same as anywhere in the world. When a pop moves it considers a colony in africa, ME or the new world the same way, as long as terrain is the same.

So if you want more people moving to a specific colony, use the immigration NF. Do keep in mind it doesn't produce instant results and people need to decide to leave first.
