here's the basic install: download and install the latest enb wrapper (just copy the enbhost.exe and d3d9.dll from the enb wrapper itself. download the enb you want and follow the instructions, usually that means just copying the entire enb preset you downloaded into your skyrim folder and editing a couple of ini files.

all the enb presets will tell you exactly what you need to do to install them, just follow the instructions, it's a step by step process that usually only takes a couple of minutes, even for your first time. it's really eays, just do each step one at a time.

duel if you like tedious back and forth combat akin to dark souls and enemies who, if alerted, will stay alerted for quite some time.

personally i use duel with tk dodge, combat evolved, and revenge of the enemies with a mod that makes the world unleveled. its very punishing. if you use duel i highly suggest using immersive npcs in the dark to make raiding bandit forts a bit easier since you'll have the upper hand during evening hours.

I hear ya, I stopped playing for awhile, took me months to finally get it to a stable point. When I started again recently, everything got updated (including my pc), and when I did those updates, the load order I was using didn't work any more. I just don't want to sound like Ultimate Combat is shit, is all. Its a great mod and I really like it, but it doesn't suit the play style I personally enjoy.

But yeah, I picked up on it from the vids showcasing it; it seems like a lot of enemies have this weird leaping attack and watching some of the more lumbering enemies execute it just seemed kinda goofy, but here I am basically recreating Fist of the North Star type junk. Go figure.

I'm getting what you're saying, I don't know why I've never noticed it, but if I notice it now I doubt I'll like it either, and if I decide to keep the mod I will likely remove that feature. If I have to do that perhaps I'll make a mod out of it.

I've been aware of Wildcat for a while but haven't really read up on it, it sounds really good, I know it works with Ultimate Combat, but it might not be all that needed any more. There are so many overhauls like this out now that it's getting complicated which ones to use. But Wildcat does sound really good and apparently does work with Ultimate so I will likely give it a shot soon.

Alternatively, you can always manually dl the mod, unzip it, run through a texture optimizer to like 1k or 512px resolution, rezip it, and then install it via MO or however you usually go about things.

I had to do this for ages, categorically (armors and shit on the character @ 2k, buildings at 1k - 512px, flora at 1k, etc.) to make the game run like butter w/ my i3 and 560ti. It takes ages but does the job, albeit you gotta be clever w/ your screens.

bullshit. I literally toggled off his AI so he would stand still and he took 0 damage, even with his AI toggling off he would spam the teleport spell that would render him invincible. He was bugged. The wiki says that he teleports when he is low health or cornered, he teleported from start to finish unendingly.

I use almost exclusively sculpt and of course sliders for the stuff you cant do much with sculpt.
Installing mods isnt that hard, its just time consuming. You need to have the right install order and priorities, do alot of checks between installs and dont install too much at once.

Install with Mod Organizer, this will 100% fix most of the problems you encounter.
Make sure to install your skse.ini properly and add "-forcesteamloader" to your skse_loader.exe as argument(in Mod Organizer)
There are some guides on youtube on how to install with MO if you never installed with MO before.

And make sure to install one category after another.
