If you try to dodge on-tap with gun, it'll usually shoot a shot too. Rod swing animation is too long to do that. Both have horrible accuracy when switching targets but it's more noticeable on rods because their projectile is so slow. Gun shots have a small explosive aoe, whereas rod hitbox is so long that it'll hit stuff behind you.

I think both get eaten by special effects aoe, like the mute summon circle or lightning bolts. If not gun shots then rod bolts definitely do. Student only yells on attack for gun 1-tap, silent otherwise

Reroll for best rewards generally, but if it's for a decktype you really don't want to play then reroll if you feel like it. It's not like you're in any rush, but if you want the most cardpacks then focus on reward. Generic win 5-7 ranked/unranked matches with no deck restriction are the very best dailies anyways.

In terms of board clears, every decktype but sword has some form of it.

Forest has Homecoming, it does not destroy followers, but instead returns them to each player's hands.

Dragon has Conflagration, the spell you're talking about and Fafnir who deals 2 damage to the whole board when put into play.

Rune has Winter's Caprice and Fire Chain. Caprice turns the whole board into 1/1 Snowman. Not quite a proper board clear, but it will screw over crafts that focus on big meaty followers. Fire Chain does randomly distributed damage across the enemy board, it does more damage with spellboost so a Rune with one saved up can potentially clear a full board with any amount of health.

Shadow has Foul Tempest, just 1 damage to all enemy followers on its own, but 3 damage to the whole enemy board with necromancy, not quite an issue for Haven, but it fucks Sword and small aggro in general.

Bloodcraft has Demonic Storm and Revelation. Revelation deals 8 damage to all followers and costs only 4 if Blood is in vengeance. Demonic Storm just does 3 damage to everything, that includes both faces.

Finally Haven has the most powerful board clear in the game. Themis's Decree, destroy all followers in play. I once had this played on me 3 times in a row.

There's no way to know if the opponent has any of these cards or not. You can only play while keeping them in mind and being experienced enough to remember their costs so that you know if the opponent can play them next turn or not. Generally though it's better to assume they have them rather than not as they're generally some of the most useful cards for turning around games.

By the time you complete the second chapter and if you have completed most of the quest, you have more than 1400 gems, enough for two 10 rolls.
Also, something that wasn't mentioned is the the "free gems" 10 roll gives you a guaranteed 3* or higher. But I am sure most people just reroll for 4*, I am too lazy to do it. If a game is good, it doesn't matter if you have a good card or not.

Oh yeah, reading random card game articles, I came upon this which provides a decent way of looking at how sword works.

It gives a good view of how decks like Sword work. Sword works by throwing large amounts of low cost threats that are either very efficient or inefficient to answer depending on if you're heavy on single removal or board wipes. When people don't draw their board clears or strong wards, they have an excessively bad time trying to deal with sword. Especially in the early game when they wouldn't be able to play them anyways.

Oh yeah, the other thing that counters sword fairly heavily is wards, decks that can setup a warded board against Sword have an extreme advantage in general as they'll ram their cards into your face while you usually have to ram your followers into their wards. The game's generally lost for sword if the match goes late game and they start playing large wards as Sword generally lacks answers to it. Sword's solution in general is to kill the opponent player before they can.

I'm not noticing anything too bad. A couple seconds when starting or finishing a level or opening a tab. Otherwise it's been fine.

The issue I'm running into is that it feels like I have nothing worth spending AP on. There's always something somewhere throwing up a roadblock in typical mobage fashion. Get stuck leveling because anything outside of metal stages is shit exp, and those are limited to one, sometimes three during events, a day or behind keys with a one hour duration. Get stuck evolving because materials have one day a week they're available and unit space is limited unless you want to dump a bunch of currency expanding. Leveled up and materials farmed to evolve, but stuck waiting for fusion doll quest for evo stat thresholds, which is likewise once a week.

Then there's events like current one dropping Swimsuit Artemis which I could dump a bunch of AP on, except I don't have 14-16 free slots to have a bunch of copies sit there for weeks while I level up and evolve them all for limit breaks and skill boosts.

I just downloaded otogi, but how come everything is in chinese? i thought you could change the language?
