Take in mind that spell shops needs x10 of each to sell a single buff, that means for example; that the cost of a blessing is 200s. Now, Pardoners have this super lame tax of 50% from your earning, so if you sell your blessing for 200s you will get 100s and that means you will be losing silver.

The standard price is to sell Sacraments and Aspersions above 1000s to get profit, you can get away with selling Aspersion up to 1.5k depending on the zone/server but there are times where that buff doesn't sells well.

I don't really know the extent of each buffs or how the compare to one another for instance, how good the concentrate buff is or how strong a barb slash debuff really is or the other barb buffs or the highlander tweaks.

The main reason I choose Corsair is so I can, if i was having last minute reservations, take corsair 3 and become a sick pirate. Corsair2 just gives a lot of, i guess, relative futureproof since it's based on AAs. Or take doppel1 into shinobi. And pelt so I have some utility.

I don't really know if it's good to rely on the buffs since I don't understand the extent of them. Whether it'd be better to rely on shinobi Sword3+Cor2 or cor+dop1 burst or Barb2+Cor2 or Cor1+Doppel1 or even highlander though I don't want to weapon swap meme. Just don't want to start a character and reroll a couple days later.

Cryo3-Chrono3 is the most meta, but I don't really want to suggest that build for your first because of your awful solo damage, which will probably give you a hard time levelling.

Pyro2-Linker1-Chrono3 is easier than the build above because of high early game damage. You can also take Linker2 over Pyro2 if you want more links for Joint Penalty, although you will lose additional hits on fireball, 100% uptime Flame Ground and Fire Pillar. Owntrolf's Cryo3Pyro3 is a pretty good combo, though also extremely gimmicky. He puts down a bunch of Fireballs, then uses Snowrolling to pick up both Fireballs and players, that usually die die instantly from repeatedly being damage by both the ice and fire ball damage.

If Snowrolling didn't have such a huge cooldown, it'd be a viable build.

The only people who think Cryo3 is better than CryoLinker2 are sub 280 shitters who's never step foot into ET.

like sure X character has a 60 second cd skill, then Y player has a 90 second cd skill, then Z has a 45 sec cd, and pass is on a 50s cd. Also not every skill is spammed, they're meatn to be used in certain situations, the moment you pass, someone might not have used their skills yet because it wasn't requires, so in most situations you'll end up reducing the cooldown of 1 or 2 big abilities at most including your own, and that's if you spam pass every time it's off cooldown.

I'm not saying Chrono is bad, but everyone is asumming every single one of the team abilities suddenly has a 25s reduced cd on everything , all the time, automatically.

If you've ever stepped foot in ET then you know the ridiculous amount of utility Frost Pillar has in there. JP+HK is only 3 seconds of CC on a maximum of 8 mobs (which doesn't cut it in ET) while FP CCs an unlimited # of mobs for 10+? seconds. And this is coming from a CryoLinker2 player. Better for grind parties maybe but FP is just a ridiculous amount of power packed into one skill and just feels a lot more futureproof (unless it gets nerfed) and I often regret not going the Cryo3 route.

Pyro doesn't need fixing. Pyro is one of the most well balanced classes in the game.

That's kind of it's downfall though. People care about the absolute best, not what's balanced.

Most classes in this are either really shitty, really unjustifiably good, only taken because they have quirky gimmicks, or a few like Pyro who are just in the middle.

Pyro just needs an attribute to make fireballs immobile.
And they need to fix Rain so it doesn't extinguish friendly fire spells.

You could say that for a lot of classes though. Like for Fletcher, the only reason you wouldn't just use Magic Arrow is those 5 seconds you don't have Magic Arrow. If you have a Chrono then it's just Magic Arrow.

Some builds revolve around 1 skill and there's nothing necessarily wrong with that.

It was completely unnecessary because now Highlander is back to being useless before it had a chance to be useful again in iToS.

highlander 2 brings skyliner, honestly, crosscut skyliner and crossguard 10 are nice, I have a hl 2 fencer and I love it, but really, you need to remember what you give up to get highlander 2:

Barbarian. IMC fucked up when they buffed barbarian because they buffed CLEAVE. CLEAVE OF ALL SKILLS to provide the SLASH bonus. Barbarian become overall better and strong with all the buffs and warcry, but they fucked up with cleave because you could get the bonus at c1 barb.

After that, meta turned into highlander 3 / barbarian 1 builds just because of the cleave.

crosscut -> cleave -> skyliner. IF they game the cleave bonus as a attribute to barbarian c2 or even c3, this shit would won't be happening.

that's one think, the second is skyliner 0 cd itself. it was a bad design choice that deserved a nerf, yes, but they gave nothing to compensate! you character now is just inferior to barbarian in almost every single scenario that don't involve a 1200 defense boss IF you have highlander 3.

The funny thing about Swordsman nerfs is that even with the buffs, nobody wants a Swordsman in an ET party.

Nobody wants a Highlander in a dungeon.

Nobody wants a Highlander in a mission.

Nobody wanted them because even with the buffs they sucked. People only care about their tanking ability.

Swordsman is the one class that should never get any PVE nerfs but they do anyway just to keep them in mediocrity.

Lolishitter here. It was necessary, but they absolutely shouldn't have nerfed it THAT much. It would've been fine if they had made it similar to Twin Arrows(5 overheats with 7 seconds cooldown). People had invested heavily into Sky Liner, and now they have 90% attribute into a skill that has 3 overheats every 15 seconds, and the bleeding bonus damage doesn't even work on half of the things on this game.

Highlander and Barbarian have overlapping usefulness. You could switch the skills around anyway you wanted and it wouldn't make a difference. They should've been a single class from the start. With Warcry, Frenzy, and Cleave/Seism combo and buffs, Barbarian is just a superior choice overall. They need to fix Highlander in the sense of making them equally as attractive as Barbarian.

This Skyliner nerf doesn't even make sense considering their previous buffs. In a recent patch, they changed Skyliner's animation to make it more spammable. IMC can't make up their mind.

And as for balance, rather than buffing swordsmen, I wis they'd nerf everything else. The difficulty while playing Swordsman feels just about right, while every other class tree feels too strong for monsters of the same level.

Dex thing is because of your r6 classes, doppel (not that much) and fencer. high str/con builds are favored to finestra builds. highlander gets a bonus to critical attack on two handed swords, that demands str, of course, but you ain't landing crit without a good amount of dex like 3:1 str/dex and you still have to worry to get some con.

highlander 1 is good because of that attrib if you plan to go two handed sword barb/doppel 2, crossguard is useful as a C block guard, crown and cartar stroke that, you will keep at lv 5 at best even on highlander 3 builds.

exactly my point, why does everyone act like I was implying something else? it wasn't balanced because it was so fucking easily accesible, and then you could build whatever fucking cheese you want without sacrificing anything, getting doppel makes you sacrifice your rank 6 if that's what you want, if if your rank 6 gives you a strong spammable ability so be it, fencer already does it

the original poster asked why it was changed/removed or whatever, my original reasoning was just that, they fucking removed it because it was too god damn easy to access.

Never said NERF swordsman into the ground, just said having it at such an early stage with no later tier commitements broke the game, even if the rest of the swordsman tiers are shit.

WHY? because if something is too good it becomes mandatory, if going highlander 2 makes you OP, then every fucking swordsman who isn't a high 2 is COMPLETE SHIT. as you see being an elememe makes you OP, but being a chrono instead of elememe doesn't make you shit, you're strong in your own way, that's the way the game is supposed to be, invest into something support/tanking/damage and you'll have strong abilities, some choices better than others, but not god damn mandatory because everything pales in comparisson.

Will Barb bring more good things or should I take just 1 rank on it for Cleave bonus slash dmg?

I want to make a Doppel2, but I want some futureproofing because rerolling sucks.

If you must grind solo, then just go through every map and do mob kills. Even if you get something terrible like 5m exp an hour, you'll have 3 lv 11 cards worth 3m at the end of the hour.

5 overheats with 7 seconds cooldown is still way too fucking good, it doesn't get rid of the problem.
Getting skyliner to 90 is 18 million silver, an amount that isn't exactly hard to get.

The only problem is that they didn't make other Highlander skills better in the same patch.

The people who complain about Skyliner nerf are minmaxers, evident from the fact they dumped so much money into attribute for miniscule damage increases. Of course they're mad the strongest thing out there was nerfed. Even if everything else was buffed, they'd still complain about becoming slower.

vertical slash is shit
skullswing is useless
crosscut doesnt work on plant/mutants (im certain its bug, imc doesnt give a fuck)
crown is useless
moulinet cooldown is unreasonable
crossguard requires 15 lvl to work
So basically class has nothing but cartar and skyliner.

5 OHs every 7 seconds isn't much at all. You could spam 3 Skyliners per second with Korean -tier ping(they get less than 20ms). Have you ever wondered why every Korean Swordsman build has tons of points into Thrust? It's because they can spam that shit faster than auto-attacks.

It makes sense they'd balance the game different across versions. Korean internet standards are something else entirely. IMC is just too stupid to properly balance one, let alone two versions of their game.
