What's a good hero for every role, both for attack and defense?

For example D'va is better for attack, right? Since you're disrupting a ton of defense heroes well(Hanzo/Widowmaker/Torbjorn/Etc)

Now that Dva ult is 3 second, I really wish they would remove momentum from it. It's basically an invulnerable death blossom now.

Some maps like Hollywood have spots you can throw the ult over a building and basically guarantee kills.

Yup. This has always been a Blizzard issue, because they don't want balance. Balance leads to people getting bored due to skill actually mattering. They want the esports dosh + casuals going AWESOME ANYONE CAN PLAY

He still kills all non-tanks super fast, and tanks die quickly if he discords them. He's arguably OP now.

Most of the map design is horrific. They're fun to look at, but most of the design is just bad for an actual objective based shooter.

The comp ranking system is a bit weird in gaining and losing points. But the ranking system with its bell curve and all is pretty cool.
The only way I could see them changing it is if they changed it to be actual percentiles, but then people would complain because it would take 20 wins to get up a couple percentile points.

That's classic Blizzard grinding. I'm surprised they haven't put a way to buy competitive points yet, given that Blizzard is pretty much exactly like EA/Ubisoft when it comes to business practices.

In short. Blizzard is a really bad company that can only get away with the shit they do due to a combination of fanboys, attracting casuals, and filling niches that have gone empty for years.

I'm just not having the fun I did when the game came out.

I quit after I lost like 5 games in a row, desperately filling comp-gaps and literally jumping as Winston (Who seems to be the worst hero in the game bar symettra) on the objective just to watch my; Zenyatta charge shot the point, miles away and not healing anyone, ana trying to snipe the point, everyone else - somewhere that's not the point.

I just want to have fun, I built my first gaming PC to play overwatch, but funnily enough I can't bring myself to play it most days.

So I just got nanoboosted for the first time and I was Genji. I literally cut through their entire team by myself with Dragonblade.

in dota, once there is a leaver the game does not count. the remaining players on the leaver's team get more gold to balance things out, but 4v5 is usually a lost game. if there is a leaver, other players can leave without receiving a penalty.

you get one free abandon every 10 games (i think, maybe more), so if you REALLY don't want to play a lost game you can just leave every now and then.

the penalty for leaving is that you can only queue up for the 'worst' game mode until you win 2 times. it does not matter how many games you've played if you don't win those two matches, you'll stay in low priority forever if you keep losing.

in addition to that, ragers get muted globally.

the system used to be a lot worse, but right now it's working for the most part.

I play comp with a full group, we have voice chat and everything, and we still barely manage to win at times. I'm sitting at 60 rank right now. Not amazing but the only reason I'm still there is because I have a team to play with.

Certain games I play like shit but we win anyway because my team carried. Even if I was shit that round, someone on chat is still calling shots, making plays, etc.

I imagine solo queue wouldn't have any of that. Maybe a little bit of communication but nothing like having a full team that you get together with. You could try to carry, but one or two amazing players aren't going to beat 6 mediocre players who are organized.

This is making me legitimately depressed. The game I want to love soooo much, that I was so excited for and gladly paid full price for, is actively punishing me for no reason, over and over and over again. There's nothing I can do. I already got gud before comp game out, but now comp won't reward me for all my hard work.

Why did it have to end up like this? Why does this game hate me? Why are these constant losses and rank downs completely out of my control? I was Rank 63 and Global Rank 2,000, then it all came crashing down as soon as some deity above realized I was on the path to getting content that will be forever locked away as soon as the Season ends. Team-based competitive gaming was a mistake.
