Projectile weapons had such huge hitboxes because there is a degree of luck to hitting them since at long ranges you have to GUESS to hit. This is something hitscan doesn't have to deal with, hitscan is point and click.

Now I don't quite agree with projectile hitboxes being THAT stupid, but nerfing all of them without thinking about the heroes standings is retarded especially when hitscan heroes are already mostly top tier (McCree, Soldier, Tracer, etcetera).

Even the best player in the world misses when playing projectile heroes (and hitscan heroes for that matter), and the hitbox leniency is going to hurt everybody.

Before you call me "LE HANZO MAIN XD". Heroes with projectile weapons:

All of these characters have significantly reduced effectiveness now due to the hitbox changes.

1. there are characters like Genji and Mccree that require a lot of skill to bring their full potential out. You may love to play them and have had good games, but ask yourself, are you really good enough to bring out that full potential? Playing easy to use characters that are really good such as Zarya, D.Va, Roadhog, Junkrat, Soldier are all much easier and just as effective, unless you feel like you're a god with the high skill characters, stick to the lower skill ones and you'll do more work.

2. Picks are the most important part about Overwatch. You're in a game where everyone has the same skill level. You can't just "outplay" the enemy Roadhog as Genji, your counter, because he's just as good as you. As soon as you realize the enemy has a enough of a counter to you to make you less effective. SWITCH. I mention Genji because I love him so much, and I've done well with him, but too many games I stubbornly stayed on him when the enemy countered me too hard and then lost.

3. Picks, picks, picks. Example Roadhog on the choke defense maps (hanamura, volskaya, hollywood, etc.) can be so devastating to enemy offense, being able to hook people and pick them off when they're stacked up there. Zarya another example, on the same maps but on offense is insanely useful for being able to safely pop in and out of the chokepoint doing damage, saving her teammates, then ulting to push. Pick characters that suit the map.

- STAY alive, preserve your life, pushes fail because not all 6 teammates were alive
- Think, clear your mind and focus on the task at hand as Genji says. Don't get mad, don't shittalk your teammates it only makes them mad and tilt more. Focus on winning.
- Do not stagnate on offense. If you try something and it doesn't work, stop doing that thing again.
