Just take a break from ranked when you feel that a losing streak is imminent. Losing 2-3 matches fast in a row is a pretty big sign of it.

I am truly in matchmaking hell now. I have dropped to 39, and I am getting matched with people in the mid-20s. I am getting matched with people who pick Bastion or Torbjorn on KOTH. I am getting matched with people who choose Zenyatta as solo healer, and I am the only tank, because it's always one support, one tank, 3 attack, and a Junkrat (there's always a Junkrat). And all of these Torb and Bastion players set their turrets up in plain view, and nobody tries to take them out.

This season needs to be over. I have gotten better with experience, and my rank has plummeted. It doesn't matter how well I play; I am practically glued to the objective every game.

These are the three outcomes of every game:

>play my ass off, lose and drop a rank
>somebody quits.

This is EVERY game now.

Is elo hell a real think with OW? I feel like that's what the 50's are.

I forgot to mention TF2 did this much less. The first door could often be the hardest, and usually let out into navigation options. OW has enough options on pretty much any spawn the first defense hold is a breadth away. Egypt is the closest exception in OW.

Is Zenyatta EVER good when he can't just spam orbs at enemies? His healing is piss poor and he's paper with no mobility. What does he excel at? No matter what, I've almost always won against people using Zenyatta or lost with them.

He can definitely be good on attack payload with a Lucio. Lucio's AoE heal plus Zen's single target heals on anyone who really gets low is good for heals.

Zen is good at peeking and shooting lots of damage down narrow sight lines, which is all you ever do attacking payload if you ride the payload and don't extend forward with the rest of the team.

Can someone please read this and explain MMR/Rank/Matchmaking to me in the following situation?

Basically, after making it to 54 I seemed to be matched EXCLUSIVELY in mid 40 tier teams. Every win was insignificant and every loss was completely detrimental. I never had an issue with the ranking gains/losses after matches being unfair until this happened. Now, after being bumped back down to 48, it seems to be "about" even again. I'm still pretty consistently the highest ranked person on my team though. Is there a reason why Blizzard is continuing to match me with teams well below my rank? It's completely ruining competitive for me, to the point I don't really feel like playing it anymore. Progress is made at a fraction of the pace I used to make it, I'm also not lying when I say I typically make golds. Especially now that I'm playing with complete scrubs all the time.

He's gonna be a solid second healer for team comps that use two healers. He compliments the primary support like Lucio and Mercy with his damage output and debuffs while giving an ally a harmony orb after a scuffle when the Mercy and Lucio are busy. I've played with him a lot on the ptr I've been using him since before comp and a good trio was Zenyatta, Ana, and Reinhardt. I'd like to test out Zen and Lucio more but everyone still has the new toy syndrome with Ana.

I know POTG isn't a really skill thing but I mean when a pro team can get nearly wiped twice in one KOTH round to a stun ult +pharah ult, you know that she's not a "bad" character in need of a buff.

Do what pharah does best, spam from a distance until you can get in close and use your ult to team wipe or kill half the team in one move.

Splash damage means she can do damage without being seen, learn to use it to keep your enemies contained for easy removal.

I main Pharah, can't say I'm too concerned since any McCree worth their salt already made sure to poke me. Half the 76's never look up, and some of the ones that do can't hit shit, Most of the Widows are horrible unless you're in an alley. I kind of felt bad for Zen's before since it was one direct and one good glance did him in before, and orbs were decent suppression before. Shit I'm more worried about Tracer and Mei than Zens. If anything I'm worried she'll take a direct nerf with how often she's seen.

"If your percentage of games left across the last 20 games rises above Blizzard's "pretty high" threshold, you'll be given a warning in the bottom-left corner of your screen.
