I finally figured out why MHG wasn't loading properly from CakesFW on an o3ds. MHG requires the 3ds to actually reboot to run properly. So basically, the 3ds reboots, then tries to run the game, but the system isn't on CFW anymore. A simple patch fixed the issue.

Hey hbg! solderbro here! Threads back up just In time, I just finished soldering the wires to there respective plates, now lets see if i bricked?

So I downgraded to 2.1.0 and whenever I boot with my SD card in, it just shows a black screen; and the only way for me to properly boot it is by popping in the SD card after I see the Home menu. Is this normal and will it fix itself after I install Arm9?

Well my nnids are fucked and I can't update software or log into anything online because of it, gives me error 022-2634 which from what I can tell on searches, it's because of unlined NNIDS.

I have a non A9LH, o3DS 11.0.something EmuNAND on Luma. I've not fucked with anything for around 1 or 2 months and borrowed my 3DS to my brother. It's saying he needs to update the system software to connect Pokemon Y online.

Will the 3DS firmware need updating (unsure if there's been a firmware update in a while) or does it mean Pokemon Y? I've not got access to my 3DS to double check the facts or sort it directly.

It's only a flashcart so it won't make any changes to your system. If you fuck around with different flashcard-systems (R4 wood and whatever they're called) you might brick your flashcart but you don't have to mess with those.

How do I get my acekard 2i to show up on my n3dsxl luma/a9lh?
The card isn't detected. On the microsd, I have a file called ak2ifw_update_3ds43, so I'm pretty sure it should be showing up on my 3ds. I remember doing something so that it would work on my 3ds, but this was a while ago I'm not sure.

Controllers are hit and miss on Android. Depends on whether the guys who created the particular version for that phone created a profile for that controller or not (or made a reliable fallback procedure for it).

You can look up adding in profiles yourself to see if that's the issue. They're stored in as text files in the phone's system memory, so you'll need root to edit it.

But if the operating system is lacking the proper OTG drivers to work at all then I dunno what you can do.

It's extremely simple. You basically have two "songs" worth of stuff before things happen. So when you PON PON PATA PON twice the third one should be either another PON PON PATA PON or CHAKA CHAKA PATA PON/PON PATA PON PATA depending on your loadout and how the enemy is attacking since some delay them.

If you're having trouble with stages, some of them outright require you to get new songs(Like crossing the desert), and you'll soon find the warriors are utter shit Patapons while Megapons and Archers rule everything.

software in general isn't perfect, especially with a closed system like the 3ds. the devs themselves generally acknowledge that their software doesn't work 100% of the time.

I got arm9 working on my n3ds. It's been going fine until it suddenly just stopped booting into SysNAND (I just get a black screen) after I put in a bunch of .cia files on my SD. I tried it again after I transferred my files off. At first it just gave me the black screen again. I booted into the Luma3ds configuraton and after saving my settings (I didn't change anthing) it kicked me off to SysNAND. I've got my theme itself working just fine, but I can't seem to get the bgm.ogg file to work right for CHMM as it just says it is corrupt (but my computer will play it just fine). Are there some special restrictions to getting an ogg file to work with it or a special way to convert it I need to do to get it to work?

I renamed my arm9loaderhax.bin to ar9payload.bin
put the files in the root (anim folder and arm9loaderhax.bin)
moved the ar9payload to anim, created folder 0 and pasted anim and config files I downloaded

Am I missing something?
tried with three different animations having them there alone as 0 and then all at once in their folders (0,1,2)

But now that I think of it do I need to create the 0 to 9 folders even though I only use the 0 one?

So I'm still using emunand because I'm lazy.

I've had a issue since pirating fantasy life and that's the fact I can't get the installation for the game's DLC to work properly via cia.

Other people had this problem, was it ever fixed? Was the cia to blame? How did people get it to install via cia? Anyone?

I've tried everything to get the version number to be prefixed by emu in part 3 of the guide. The rednand might not have been set up properly, because changing themes/brightness on a regular boot carries over to a boot through luma. But when I try to start the process over, I can't set up rednand through emunand9 because of a corrupt filesystem. Reformatting with tinyformat hasn't fixed the issue. What are the chances it's the SD card that's fucked?

Guys, I need a bit of help.

I recently put luma and stuff on my o3ds, played loads of games, had a blast. Even got a 64gb sd card to replace my 32gb one for all my comfy game hoarding.

Now I bought a N3ds but I still only have one 64gb card. I wanna put the old 32gb card on the o3ds and the 64gb one on the n3ds.

If I format the 32gb one to emunand (I actually think it's already formatted for that since I don't recall formatting it after going for the 64gb one) and put those key files in it, just pasting them from the other one, minus the one with games and stuff, and it should work alright, right? The 64gb I then format according to the guide and then just put luma in that. Is this right? Also I'd like to backup some saves from the games I played on the o3ds, using jk's save manager works, right? Just export then import?
