I would be fine with PVE if it was a bit more elaborated and gave better rewards. Boss fights and more elaborated scenarios would be neat. Rewards don't have to be on the same level as PVP, but not what it is right now. Like AW does. Sometimes I just want to shoot things without having to worry much.

I'm not too hopeful about the new "mode", since it will probably be like forts: You get it randomly, so you'd have to play a lot of normal PVE battles to get the chance to caught an assault battle.

I cannot see how this could be viewed in any light but positive. When has banter EVER added to the experience of this. Even still, it is PvE, not SP, so you can still speak to your teammates, which is all you usually do in PvP anyway.

I have mixed feelings on this. Mostly because I have already unlocked all the ships I wanted, money making is less of a concern and even at high tier PvE I can break even. With 164mil kicking around, I dont really care anymore about the economics. And gut says this will be fixed as well since they ARE putting some work into PvE. My gut says they will just eliminate economic factors. No money gained, no money lost, free restocking of consumables ect. Just like in the training room.

As a direct retort, PvE is a more consistent experience, shitters have a less impact on the game, I happen to like the mirroring of PvE as the teams are, definitionally, PERFECTLY balanced.

Either shoot targets focused on other allies or shoot at those who are not moving.
If you can't stealthtorp you have to ambush them using islands, smoke or whatever lets you come up to them without being seen.
Always shoot using the tight spread and shoot a bit ahead and behind of the lead.
It's not always good to use the aim assist, try predicting their movements and shoot in that direction.

Compared to the other T7 cruisers which are also made of wet paper bags and hope, yes. I find Both the cleveland and atlanta to be reliably harder to kill than say a Yorck, Chap or Pensa, and slightly easier to kill than a Myoko.

That makes the armor "decent" for class and tier. It's a light cruiser that is harder to kill with guns than some heavy cruisers.
