When I play Bouncer I'm entirely playing to be a lazy floaty piece of shit who doesn't die, and when I play Hunter I keep it for convenience to tank small mobs so I can focus on bosses and not care.

Matching attribute matters very little for non techers or force mains. A Nox NT is above par with a level 9 extended red weapon with photon booster potential level 3 and Nox without potential and without matching element.

Yes, these are fine:
Red weapon (ex.9 +) with 50 ele and pot lv1+
Decent 10-11* +40 (or NT +30 or higher) 50 ele
Nox NT 12* (+30 or higher) 50ele

The difference is the the Nox is a Grind Skip +10 (or from +10 -> +17) once you're done with it/ You can resell the others but I'm not sure what the return value is on those. I know you lose a lot with the Red weapon since you have to de-extend it and the crafting fees are the most significant portion of the cost in making one.

I think the only case where a maxed red weapon is better than a wind Nox NT is Red Twin Daggers on FI. Wind Nox NT still outdamages Red potted crafted, without Nox potential active, unless it's a crit build.
Double Saber has crit potential, Knuckles have a above HP potential (works under limit break) and Gunner has a crit potential.
Unless maybe you're a RAHU with crit in the Fury tree for AIS Launcher later I guess.

Ray is superior compared to revo simply because of the utility potential it has (damage resists and -% pp cost). Only downside is it's gated behind scheduled content where as revo requires the player to spend time running around killing other shit to get. You can farm for Revs, but it's gonna take a lot more effort.
If you do it right you can get one every about 3-5 hours. It really depends on what sheet as some are easier than others, but that's about the average time it took me to get one.

Minimum gear requirements should be a thing in every XH EQ. Would make pubbing a lot less stressful and encourage people to actually try with their gear (60 atk on a weapon/unit is not difficult or expensive). This would probably be the only way to break the leech mindset that a lot of people have.

It's pretty questionable whether they should be adding extra requirements to existing content now. I'd say it was probably too late for that.

There ought to be something like an "XH+" with added requirements and maybe extra twists on top of it (healing reduction, random resistances, etc.) but at this point it would be best implemented as a separate thing.

There is a fairly steady progression of zones for a while which if you're new should last you until you hit vh-sh. At that point if you wanna level you're gonna be doing mostly emergency quests and advance quests.

Each class has its own pool of skill points to use.
You can change classes whenever you want in the lobby.
The only "permanent" choices are how you feed your mag, and your skill points.
You can spend AC (cash shop) to buy a new mag, or buy new blank skill trees, or wait for Sega to rebalance some classes like once every 8 months and hand out skill reset passes.

If you're absolutely sure you want to Melee, feed your mag nothing but S-ATK until its at 200 S-ATK. No dex, no defense, only S-ATK. This gives you the widest range of usage since S-ATK benefits the largest number of classes and weapon types in the game.

Those 4 classes are the "typical" setups.
Play around with each of those weapons, focusing your mag into pure s-atk until you decide what you want.

All of those weapons have pros and cons, and you can stick to one if you prefer, though you won't be as well-rounded.

To elaborate, you might be thinking "But DEX sounds useful!" It's really not. I honestly don't understand why its even in the game.

It affects damage variance in crafted weapons and weapons below 10* rarity, and only in large amounts. So basically this means its only marginally useful early-game, and you can't stack it high enough to make it useful earlygame, and by the time you can stack DEX that high it becomes 100% useless once you pick up a 10* or above weapon which the game hands out for free by the dozens at this point.

This is also a game about "DONT GET HIT", not tanking hits.
The innate defense bonus on your units (armor, basically) is enough to last the entire game. Trying to sneak in some extra points here and there is a huge waste of time and money that could be spent on improving your damage output so the thing you're fighting dies before you even have to dodge another hit.

On that note, one thing I cannot recommend enough is picking up every scrap of rare junk you can find for a good while.
