Destroy the wings behind the head and then work your way up their backs from there. Destroying the tail will clear the screen of bullets so that can be helpful. It's hard to describe a strat without a step by step demonstration to go along with it.

>Collect normal gems to build up multiplier
>as usual you get double value green gems if you collect them quickly after they spawn
>Collect blue gems to spend multiplier and get points

>Chain enemies to build up meter.
>killing enemies with auto shot when meter is in the red zone spawns large gems.
>killing enemies with laser when meter is in the red spawns twice as many large gems.
>killing enemies with laser when meter is completely empty spawns blue gems.
anything else gives you basically nothing

For midbosses and bosses you can increase the meter just by shooting them, for everything else only kills count towards the meter.

No one said they weren't, the rsi they give isn't so fun though. The point really is just play with what you feel most comfortable with, one thing i love about pads is there is low fatigue after hours of play.

I can't really argue with that one. Arcade stick starts to hurt my buttons hand if I play something that involves a lot of rapid tapping for more than a few hours at a time (which I usually never do). And I used a keyboard when I tried to play Touhou 15 last year, think I damn near gave myself carpal tunnel though that was more likely due to terrible posture during that particular session, since I used to be able to use keyboard for several hours at a time without fatigue when sitting at a desk properly.

There's a barcade nearby that has plenty of games but unfortunately no shmups. Unless Smash TV counts. While still fun, it's not exactly what I had in mind.
