You mean the symbols of Azeyma. It's actually very intentional, and is a sun symbol that was used for Sephirot. The building was taken from Meracydia, the home of the Miqo'te, the Sun Seekers of which worship Azeyma now in Eorzea. It is also a symbol apparently used by some Au Ra for their sun god as well.

I wish summoners had a more "Allagan" like theme to them, so that you really felt like you were learning the ancient secrets of a super-powerful and highly technological civilization instead of just improving your arcanist abilities. Allagan lore is so cool but the job based on them falls so short of what the lore paints them to be.
