I just found out that I'm lucky I didn't softbrick on the 9.2 downgrade on account of my ambassador games and that one four swords dsiware game. Lucky break. I've been sticking around in step four of the guide, having backed up my emunand and sysnand but not having gone any further. Should I delete those games and make another copy of my emunand? It's not like I can even play the gba games anyway since they're not installed on my sysnand.

DSiWare titles are stored in subdirectories of the title directory.

In the DSiWare's directory is the content folder and optionally the data folder.

The content folder contains the executables in .app files (renamed .nds files) and title metadata in the .tmd file. Also a .cmd, I don't know what this does.

The data folder contains a save named public.sav.

I only know the "DS Internet Settings" title ID which is 42383841

No point in removing them manually, you will end up formatting EmuNAND before downgrading to 2.1 (erasing the games in the process) and you'll restore a good backup later. And when you finish installing a9lh, you end up writing your good pre-format EmuNAND backup to SysNAND so your GBA/DSi games will work again without any shenanigans.

Yes, it's normal and okay. All N3DS systems actually make make use of the same amount of space (even if the chip is physically bigger), RedNAND is always formatted to that particular size. Same thing is true for O3DS systems but the size is smaller. It's like 0.95GB for O3DS and 1.2GB for N3DS.

The difference between the smaller and bigger backup is 100% unused data. It's dumped for SysNAND because it's potentially useful to have everything if you're going to restore it with certain kinds of hardmods.

And each one of those directories should have a subdirectory DATA and a file public.sav inside it.

I'm following the 3DS github guide in the OP and got to LumaCFW part. I know the initial boot should take a while but I've waited 10 minutes and I was still stuck with a black screen. I turned my 3DS off and tried again some more times and nothing has changed. Have I fucked up somewhere?

Have you ever downgraded with Gateway? If so, you need a firmware.bin to boot until you clear and reinstall some stuff.
Did you download the -dev build? If so, don't do that, download the normal one and replace the files.

I'm upgrading from AuReiNand 3.11 to Luma and I'm having a problem. I'm trying to do the optional step on the github of getting it to work with a boot manager (I have CTRBootManager) but I don't have the Luma3DS.bin file it's telling me to change. Anyone know what I should do?

I'm not using A9LH since I haven't messed with my 3ds since before it came out, could that be the problem?

You don't need that step if you're using a regular non-a9lh setup. You do need to update your boot manager config though.

That step is only needed if you're using an a9lh boot manager (BootCtr9 or CTRBootManager9).

So far its been 8 hours of going hacking my n3ds with Gateway through the entire Pailect guide. Its been really fucking tedious and slow. Im still in the middle of downgrading to 2.1.0 and having to restore the emunand everytime i get an error is really time consuming.

So, everything was going well until it came to the redNAND downgrade from 11.0 to 2.1.0

The guide mentions this may fail over and over and says to simply keep trying, however I can't.

My home screen boots up, but I can not access anything except for system settings in the top left corner. That causes the console to lock up. Everything else can be tapped countless times, but nothing happens.

I'm having problems with CHMM2 shuffling themes.
I'm using a9lh+Lumia on 11.0

every time I try loading a shuffle preset I get a error: String: 696 error opening file.

The themes all worked but shuffle won't work.

Long story, hacked my 3DS back in January when we had one week, but due to college I couldn't really play as much as I wanted to. Since a new game is coming to eShop (Protect me Knight 2) and I want it soon.

Obviously I'm far behind on updates since my 3DS is still at RX-E 10.3.0-28U. I just want to know if I can still access the eshop when I update and still play online? Most of my games are bought and the only reason I hacked it was for Japanese games. I got an Old 3ds and want to upgrade from a 4GB to a 64GB micro SD card with adapter.
From the Plailect FAQ, I can just copy paste all files to the new micro sd card but I am worried about formatting. I think the 64gb card is formatted as exFAT whereas my 4GB is FAT32.
