For the most part, no. The best monsters in the game will come from the rare egg machine, and each pull from that will require 5 magic stones. There are some monsters that you can get in dungeons that are good, but they're few in number, and difficult to obtain without having a strong team.

Honestly you're best off deleting your file and restarting until your first roll is actually good. It could take some time, and the tutorial gets really repetitive.

It's strongly recommended, but not completely necessary. However, DON'T use the Rare Egg Machine unless it says "Godfest Active". Magic stones are very precious and you should only spend them on Godfests and increased box space. NEVER on retrying dungeons, and only for stamina later in the game.

Normally we'd yell at you and tell you to read the FAQ in the OP, but we know it's probably so out of date it's practically useless. And we're desperate for conversation. Still, give it a look over for a better idea of what to do. The tier lists are ancient though.

okay im going to set cute for priority. also actual combo lead and not 2/3 single color, slightly combo, or heart combo.

for green bastet and kush are super cute. kush lacks higher damage but has a shield. bastet awoken damage is lacking but can get by with enough prongs and killers. ace armor has more raw damage at the cost of being less cute and not the focus in her art.

light has linka for combos that is also a qtπ. shes pretty cute but needs the connect 5+ gimmick to reach maximum damage. also she cost 200k, so you cant really start with her so much as roll 1/4 her cost. mp is more farmable though if you focus on it. evo materials are available as soon as you unlock coin dungeons. some of her best subs are in the june bride rem but that should be enough time to squirrel away most of your stones after you get mp for her.

Blue has rukia from bleach and nut for the elusively cute blue combos leads. the bleach rem has passes but might come back later this year. she is also rem heavy as most blue teams are. nut is combo with hp/rvc boost, but maxes out at 5 combos for 9 with dual leads. she still has another ult and an awoken so she has room to grow.

red/dark has no waifu (pure combo) leads, that i can think of atm.

bridestet has the advantage of many light subs withs prongs and OE. Ariel has a low cd with a guarenteed prong every four turns, being superior light lui bei in terms of triple pronger with short active usage. also lvalk and verche are great farmable subs. also moogle has a cd of three for a easy to make low cd team.

I don't think Yuna's x2 at 7 combos removes her from combo leader status tbqh. You will have no problem playing Yuna as a pure combo leader because matching 4 types of orbs is really easy and is likely when you reach 7 combos. Her only major disadvantage is that you can't use orb changers like Apoc and maximize your light matches for big damage. You also have to watch out for orb converter actives (say L.Akechi) potentially fucking up your board. In that regard, despite Yuna having a larger multiplier than Bridestet she's actually weaker because you can't really stack prongs as easily. That said, she's a "safer" lead because it's often easier to hit her minimum LS multiplier with 4 matches.
