How to git gud with Genji? I've noticed a few problems that I seem to encounter in probably half the matches I play as Genji so I have a few questions.

>What can you do if Mei or Roadhog is almost constantly next to the healers?
If I move in I either get frozen and die or hooked and die. If I shoot the healer from afar, I'll get spikes or slugshots coming my way on top of Mercy's gunfire.

I try to use it when the enemy is distracted, but Roadhogs and Meis especially seem like a pain in the ass. Another time when I use ulti is if my team has a Zarya and she uses hers or if Lucio throws his ulti. I always focus on getting the healers first, then Mei, snipers or other squishies. In KOTH, I reserve the ulti for when my team goes in to capture the point, unless if I know the enemy Lucio has ulti ready. If Lucio has ulti then I'll wait for him to use it.

Basically, how can make the most use out of the fact that I can surprise the enemy, but will most likely die within a few seconds or get forced to retreat almost immediately?

The hardest thing about these shitty matches is to get anything useful done when you know there will be at least three enemies focusing on you if you try to do anything and I can't really think of any way to get through that other than being so ridiculously good that I can kill them all before I die.

How do you carry a team when your enitre team is garbage and the opposing team immediately counterpicks your carries?

Like I've gone from 60 to 40 and I just cant win. Like some games I am doing 1.5k heals/min as Lucio and then we still lose, and then some games I play as Zarya/Tracer/Streetpig and we lose while I have stupid fucking stats like 85% kill participation
I dont die very often, and have had at least 3 gold medals (Note sometimes they are gimmies like Healing done as Lucio) in every game. Almost ALWAYS Objective Time.

I just dont know what to do. I cant keep losing like this. Its incredible. Im going to lose my fucking mind. Even in complete fucking stomps I have not failed to get an end of game card in 40 some matches

Once you start to de-rank I think it's harder to rank up because people below 50 tend to take it less seriously and you just have to hope the other team has more of those shitters than you.

which one is it? 50% is like 50% of the playerbase, 60+ is like top 10% it's too much to just be natural fluctuation

The whole point of my argument is that you don't leave your team to go off and do all your own shit, constantly breaking LOS and wasting your amps.

It's not your job to kill people as your primary function, you can help by shooting at enemies while with your team, pushing people away / off edges, but don't ditch them.
