Pretty good.
>>

The siege video supposedly had 500 units in one battle. Of course, we don't know the specs of the computer that could run that 500 man siege, so who knows how Bannerlord will actually handle it.

I am going to try and complete a playthrough of Warband without restarting like I usually do.

I got some questions become I am a roleplaying degenerate.

What happens if I marry the daughter of a Swadian vassal and then later push Lady Isolla's claim? Will her father join me or will he be against me? What happens if Lady Isolla becomes Queen?

What happens if I marry the daughter of a Rhodok vassal, push Lady Isolla's claim, win and then Swadia and Rhodok declare war on each other? Does my wife move to Swadia and does her father hate me?

Persistent Troop Identities is still in absolute shambles, but for the time being here's my custom troop trees submod, source included:

http://www.moddb.com/mods/custom-troop-trees/

I need to get to bed so it's a bit of a rush job; haven't had time to add instructions yet or anything. I'm thinking I'll add a video on how to merge it with other mods later. The mod itself could also use some work and the code isn't the most well-documented, but I wanted to just release something already. Have fun. I look forward to seeing the million uncovered bugs in the morning.

I should also add it to the forums at some point, but you guys come first.

The biggest problem is that neither the Ottomans nor the Russians actually acted like Romans, they never assimilated the culture. It doesn't matter that the ERE had by 1400 ceased to be Roman in the way we usually think of it, but the fact remains that they were the eastern half of the Empire of the Romans, just as Vichy France remained France despite holding only half of it and none of the Duchy of France.
The Ottoman Empire were fundamentally foreign conquerors regardless of whether or not they held the title itself (William the Conqueror isn't English although he held the Crown of England), while the Russians had a blood tie but were hardly Roman in culture.

>Remained Latin until it was changed by lawful decree.
Pfft Latin was barely used in the east, only by a few of the rich to imitate the romans.

>What the fuck is Roman ethnicity?
You don't know the ethnicity of those that built the roman empire?

>our argument is invalid unless you're claiming that the latter was never a Roman Empire
You mean THE roman empire. It was a province of the roman empire but it was never THE roman empire. Egypt was a part of the roman empire, so was israel and france and spain and the balkans. Being a part of something doesn't make you IN that something, not necessarily.

It's subjects were greek, spoke greek and had greek customs. With the exception of the rich imitating the romans, they had shit all to do with the romans except paying taxes to them.

The byzantine empire was born of the fall of the roman empire. It was a way to try and keep the empire together when it was falling apart.

>To maintain control and improve administration, various schemes to divide the work of the Roman Emperor by sharing it between individuals were tried between 285 and 324, from 337 to 350, from 364 to 392, and again between 395 and 480. Although the administrative subdivisions varied, they generally involved a division of labour between East and West. Each division was a form of power-sharing (or even job-sharing), for the ultimate imperium was not divisible and therefore the empire remained legally one state—although the co-emperors often saw each other as rivals or enemies.

The division was east and west because, guess what, the east was GREEK and the west was LATIN

>rest of the wall of text
Irrelevant, the Roman Empire before him formally split the RE into the Pars Occidentalis and Pars Orientis. Your logic does not matter. They were recognized as Romans by the Roman Emperor, they were ruled by a Roman Emperor, and they were once a part of the Roman Empire and remained part of the Roman Empire, ruled under one of the two administrative sectors.
You need to address this point, because it was, formally speaking, just as much of a Roman Empire as the Western one. Neither was subordinate to the other, so it logically follows - regardless of what your interpretation or logic - that both sides are the Roman Empire, and that the loss of either does not in any way diminish the Roma-ness of the other.

>>148765850
This is some autism, but show me where the dissolution of the Roman Empire occurred, where the Roman Emperor stopped existing. Everything else is completely irrelevant.
As it were, if we split the United States of America into the East and the West, then razed the East to the ground, then would the West still be part of the United States of America? It holds none of the original territory, nor the capital. Same shit, the Western US is obviously still the western US, their peoples are still Americans, their culture is still American, and it doesn't matter if they start speaking Spanish, for they remain, in essence, Americans.
Now you'll obviously pull the "but they're still in America", but they don't even hold all of it! If the Roman Empire held only one forum in Rome and territory elsewhere, are they still the Roman Empire or by your logic would they be the Empire of the Third Forum in the Western Corner of Rome?

>institutions
As with laws, when the roman empire fell, they were left to fend for themselves. They didn't scrap everything they had to live in chaos and anarchy, that doesn't make it them romans. Britons and basically everyone in the roman empire lived under the roman empire and institutions, that doesn't make them roman.

> shared history
Conquering and enslaving someone is as much shared history as the spanish have with the aztecs. The shared history is a history of greek subordination to the roman conquerors. Same shared history the russians and mongols have.

>direct political succession
Well, there wasn't direct political succession without owning the capital. For example, one of the most important bodies or institutions, immovable, was the roman senate. It stayed in place and continued working under Odoacer. There's no political succession here.

Mainly because you literally cannot get it into your thick skull that moving east doesn't make an Imperium no longer an imperium.

>nope, all those identities were already subsumed by 400s
Wrong again. Not that it's like something ou can prove anyway, or that it matters. Just because you think you are roman because your greek government calls your roman doesn't make you one.

>he only true romans are the people
Yes, now you are getting. The romans were the people who were born in Rome, or frequently the cities and villages nearby, whose his fathers were born there and his fathers fathers. They built an empire, based off rome, and spread their own culture and language in europe. The empire they built ultimately fell.

Those are the romans. Romans still exist, they still live in their own city.

>roman identity
There you go again, speaking like you know how people identified themselves and "I feel roman so I'm roman" crap

>>148769390
Having a political connection to rome doesn't make you into rome. Being conquered by rome doesn't make you into rome.

You seem incapable of understanding the difference.

>This isn't an ad hominem,
Yes, it is.

>Where am I nitpicking?
The fact that you are ignoring everything else.

>If you were a Roman Citizen you were Roman, period
No, if you are a roman citizen you are a roman citizen. When the entity that gives you citizenship crumbles, you stop being a citizen of that entity.

>arbitrary standards
wew

By your logic, btw, since all male persons in the roman empire were declared by Marcus Aurelius Antonius everyone and their mothers that used to be in the borders of the Roman Empire became roman so all sucessor states, including ostrogoths kingdoms, egypt et al were rome.

>You didn't provide any
Then I'm sorry to say but you are going blind. Bot going to waste space spoonfeeding you common shit anyone who isn't a byzaboo knows.

>The administration was formally split
They split de facto, not de jure. For reasons already explained, but you don't seem to understand the difference.
>>
>>148769390
>Similar to to the way Christ
wew, what a retard
Yes, it was not divisible. It wasn't divided, someone chopped half, it died.

>There was no distinction, legally,
>The administration was formally split
You are contradiction yourself now
You are agreeing and disagreeing with me in the same post, top kek

>that moving east
Nothing was moved east. The empire crumbled when it lost its capital. The eastern provinces weren't as affected, so they keep claiming the empire was alive.

It's like if the UK was conquered by Germany and WW2 and after peace Canada changed it's name to the United Kingdom of Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
>>
>>148761618
>There isn't direct political continuation without owning Rome.
Numerous political entities have continued to exist after losing their capital or even most of their country really.

Like France in WW2.
>>
>>148771534
France existed as a government in exiled in their allies. It's different.
Byzantium wasn't a government in exile during a world war because of an occupied territory. It was a collection of provinces that were put under adminstrative division of someone else to try and stop the destruction of the empire and when the empire fell, they claimed they were that empire. But they weren't. They were something else, thus we call it the byzantine empire.
>>
>>148770585
>Yes, it is.
Asking you if you know what something is is now ad hominem? I guess I've been being insulted throughout my entire life by schoolteachers asking me if we've learned this material before or by uni professors asking if we've covered this in other classes.

>the fact that you are ignoring everything else
Why yes, because as I've just justified, nothing else matters.

>if you are a roman citizen..
Are you actually arguing that Roman Citizens cannot be considered Romans?

>wew
No argument? You're actually saying that the only Romans in the entire Empire were in Italy and bits of Gaul?
You heard it here folks, there were no Romans anywhere but Italy, or perhaps only in Rome proper, despite emperors often being fucking barbarians!

>By your logic, btw...

None of them claimed to be Roman, and none of them enjoy direct ties to the Roman Empire as a descendant.

>you are going blind
>I'm not going to provide it
I know you have them, since you're posting screenshots, so I'm not going to pretend you don't have any, but you're actually not giving any sources.

>de facto not de jure
Irrelevant, because formally the co-augustii Arcadius and Honorius had authority over half the Empire, each. Losing half the Empire doesn't mean you lost the whole thing. Han China continued until Cao Pi's time without most of its territory. Song China continued without it's entire northern half. Rome continued without the City of Rome.

>>148770962
>someone chopped it in half
See above.

>contradiction
It wasn't legally split but the entire idea that you have two emperors each in charge of one half is a formal split.

>Canada
No it would be as if Britain were exiled to Ireland and continued calling itself Britain, which is fine if a bit weird seeing as there are de-jure Crowns of England / Scotland / Wales that it owns no territory in.

>>148771824
NOBODY called it that when it existed.
>>
>>148771994
I'm going to sleep btw, the sun is rising here.
>>
Here's what I don't get about the Collapse argument. You've got shit like Hungary or the repeated partitions of Poland where a lot of their shit gets pawned off to other people, the shrink to tiny lands and sometimes core lands disappear, but they're still themselves, if very much diminished.
Thinking of the Roman Empire as a whole, what happened was it got fucked up in places and held on in others, and the East was at that point already considered "essential" land, on part with North Africa, Iberia, or Gaul.
Then shouldn't we just say that the "Byzantine" empire was just a much-diminished but still powerful Roman Empire that had lost much of its territory?
>>
>>148733928

>>
>>148771994
>Asking you if you know what something is is now ad hominem?
Stop pretending to be retarded.

>Why yes, because as I've just justified, nothing else matters.
You didn't justify shit.

>Are you actually arguing that Roman Citizens cannot be considered Romans?
Let me explain for you them. Roman citizenship was issued by the senate of rome and derived power from the senate of rome. It's only as valid long as the senate and the power structure deriving from it exists.
If you are a citizen of the US and the US is suddenly wiped out, your citizenship stops existing with it. Yes, that's how it works. That's how people become stateless.

>You heard it here folks,
Nice strawman.

>None of them claimed to be Roman
So by your logic, you only need a citizenship and claim to be roman, that automagically makes you roman forever.

> of them enjoy direct ties to the Roman Empir
They enjoyed as much as byzantium.

> since you're posting screenshots
Yes, there's something called google. use it.
I'm not going to spoonfeed you sources, especially in a discussion where I'm the only one bringing it.

>Irrelevant
There you go again, being retarded. It's the whole point.

>Han China continued
China as a unified state didn't exist during the warring states period. Each lord was the ruler of his own state.

>Rome continued without the City of Rome.
Not the city of rome, the whole core of the roman empire. The Italian peninsula, and the whole source of legitimacy for their citizens: the senate.

>See above.
Not an argument.

>It wasn't legally split
Thanks for repeating what I said and contradicting yourself again.

>NOBODY called it
No, they called it the "Empire of the Greeks" in the west. The only persons who called greeks "romans" were the arabs, but that's because they desired the title and knew shit about what happened,
Byzantine is a modern word, yes, used to make a difference between the roman empire and the provinces that broke off of it when it fell.

Nation-states are something else entirely.
But lets develop your argument: as long as poles exist, they can form their own state. But pole isn't the black guy who speaks arabic, a pole speaks polish, war born in poland, from parents born in poland with parents born in poland.
They are a group of people.
But the romans and the greeks are different. They are born in different places, they speak different languages and they have different cultures. They only used to share an empire because the romans bent them over and fucked them.
So a better example is Austria-Hungary. Imagine that if, after losing the Austrian part, the Hungarians started calling themselves Austrians (or even better, Viennans) and their state "Austria". Sure, they once shared a country, but Hungarians aren't Austrians and Hungary isn't Austria.

Equipment balance is the one thing that still needs updating; each tier of troop has the potential equipment limited to the highest value equipment used by other troops in the game of the same or lower tier, but it's still pretty OP if you pick the best items for each category. Sword sisters have plate armour for example, so you can get that as soon as they pass sword sister level. I have to add in either a limited pool of funds for the entire set of equipment, troop wages rising strongly with equipment value or both.
>>
>>148774203
But how you simulate how much money is paid for the upgrade or you don't at all, I mena if I make sword sisters full of weapons but naked, how's the overall price calculated?

>Yari's & spears are now purely thrust weapons but now have an additional thrust attack replacing overhead swing (aka Upstab)
>Good relations with villages give even more recruits
>Much more morale from leadership
>More morale from food
>Increased betting amounts @ tournaments
>Increased payouts for arena fights
>Increased income from businesses
>Prettier Faces built in (aka LoliMod)
>Historically Accurate Kenshin Uesugi & Date Masamune are the pretenders for thier clans
>All factions either get a third Hatamoto unit OR a a special unit beyond Hatamoto
>Western troops can be recruited at Tsushima off the coast of Kyushu after you capture it
>Towns on Kyushu have a selection of rare nanban imports
>All those nice armors from the original GekokujoNew plus some ones that were in it but never used
>Better banners for Oda & Takeda
>Skirmishers no longer effected by random weapon script
>Yokai units can be recruited from Sado Island

Pretty sure it also added some unique units, like Takeda Fire Cavalry, or the Chosokabe Bow Hero
>>

I ended up importing native faces

I got some of the hair pretty good and did a shit job with others, but the thing is that as soon as the troops move a little farther away the hair model changes and it looks all fucked again, and correcting those would be a pain in the ass because you can't even check in the character creator how you are doing
The skulls are funky shapes too, some of the hair looks kind of retarded because I had to make it all high and whatnot

To import native faces you replace the skins.txt and look in the shared resources folder (in the M&B folder, not in the modules) for textures_face_gen, materials_face_gen and meshes_face_gen and put those into the Way of the Sword resources folder

Now everybody looks like they do in native and nobody is going bald

Im pretty sure the orthodox muslims are against anything remotely resembling a person, because according to lloyd (or was it matt?) the complete lack of muslim depictions of soldiers is why we have no idea what muslim armor really looked like in its complete form.

And god condones slavery. People don't take this shit seriously, the prohibition is against holy figures to avoid idolatry.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aniconism_in_Islam

>The avoidance of idolatry is the main concern of the restrictions on images

> Frescos and reliefs of humans and animals adorned palaces of the Umayyad era, as on the famous Mshatta Facade now in Berlin.[4][5] Figurative miniatures in books occur later in most Islamic countries

>The human figure is central to the Persian miniature and other traditions such as the Ottoman miniature and Mughal painting, and represents a good deal of the attractiveness of Islamic art for non-Muslims.[6][7] The Persian miniature tradition began when Persian courts were Sunni, and continued after the Shia Safavid dynasty took power. Shah Tahmasp I of Persia began as a keen patron and amateur artist himself, but turned against painting and other forbidden activities after a religious crisis in mid-life. From the 13th to 17th century depictions of Muhammad, in later examples usually veiled,[8]) and other prophets or Biblical characters, like Adam (Adem),[9][10] Abraham (Ibrahim)[11] or Jesus (Isa)[12] and Solomon (Sulaymān)[13] and Alexander the Great (often identified as Dhul-Qarnayn, a figure in the Quran),[14] became common in painted manuscripts from Persia, India and Turkey. Extreme rarities are an illustrated Quran depicting Muhammad[15] and, in a Spanish-Muslim manuscript datable from the 16th century, five Umayyad and Abbasid caliphs. Iblis (the Devil) too is present in various illustrated manuscripts.

There's like several paintings of of ottoman caliphs, commissioned by the caliphs themselves

later than what, later than islam?
It happened in the medieval times, that depiction of saladin if from 1185, when he was alive

>those are the more lax versions of islam
It has nothing to do it. The hadith is basically saying "don't pretend you can create or imitate life nor try to do it". Christians ar epretty much against this too.

> those are the more lax versions of islam then
Early versions of islam were more lax, it got less lax largely due to external influences being perceived as a threat

Here's a gold coin depicting a umayyad caliph dating from the 600's. Muhammad died in 632. Want earlier than this?

It means that Hadiths are interpretations of stuff, and different (and oftentimes modern) interpretations of stuff.

What YOU are quoting is something straight out of the Kitab At-Tauhid, made by Muhammad bin Abdul-Wahhab, the founder of Wahhabism. Wahhabism is one of THE most fundamentalists school of thought. His Hadith is also WAY later than the Ottoman empire (the guy was BORN in 1703) and it isn't the basis of islam at all (though it is a popular school of thought in Saudi Arabia, thanks to the Saudi's patronage).

So basically what you are doing is getting a modern interpretation of a fundamentalist school and passing as it was universal in Islam.

What is forbidden is idolatry, so anyone who lived with Muhammad, had direct contact with the guy is forbidden to be depicted on those grounds.

Modern muslims are against shit like women posting selfies not because of it's a depiction of a living being, but because it breaks one of their core tenants of humility. It's partly the same reason why nasheeds can't have instruments: they don't want singers to become famous, as it breaks humility and can create some sort of parallel worship.

PoP is not difficult, get at least 7 powerstrike, use non-modded battlesizes (so you can retreat after killing a portion of the enemy army), stack elite units, use a weapon with decent base damage and you're done. Honestly, TLD has a far more annoying early-game than PoP. At least in PoP there's no mechanics stopping you from becoming strong early.

Enemy units can be strong sure, but so can your character. Besides, unless you're using doghotel's brainy bots or something, no ai should really be that difficult to kill.

So nobody was actually Roman and the """"""""Roman"""""""" """""""""Empire"""""""" never existed, because to remain consistent in what you say you'd have to concede this, since if you didn't you'd have to admit that those in the territories of what remained of the Roman Empire in the former East were Romans as they were under the Roman Empire

>So by your logic, you only need a citizenship and claim to be roman, that automagically makes you roman forever.
what are the other criterion?

from the fall of the West to 1453 the laws and judicial systems of the Byzantine Empire, though having developed over time, were still based on old Roman jurisprudence and the Emperor still had the senate which had largely moved to Constantinople when Constantine founded it, since you seem so caught up with this as a way of 'legitimizing' the Roman Empire

>I'm not going to spoonfeed you sources, especially in a discussion where I'm the only one bringing it.
HURR DURR IS NOT MY JOB TO EDUCATE CHU!!
then don't get into a discussion you fucking mongoloid

>Not the city of rome, the whole core of the roman empire.
as already stated the Capital had been moved multiple times, unless you believe you can have two capitals
I'm not even sure if the notion of a capital as we know it today existed back then
if we're going by definition then

> A town or city that is the official seat of government in a political entity, such as a state or nation.
Constantinople from 324
> A city that is the center of a specific activity or industry
Constantinople

>No, they called it the "Empire of the Greeks" in the west.
so?
they were majorly Greeks ethnically and linguistically, so it was an Empire of Greeks, though still the Roman Empire

and the Greeks themselves, referring to themselves thus in all of their documents when the matter comes up

>but that's because they desired the title and knew shit about what happened,
dem dirdy sandnegroes livin in dey mud huts is I right??
Baghdad was the largest city in the world in its time and a great center of learning, they certainly knew more about Ancient Rome, the Republic, etc. than monks in Western Europe for a long period
read The Eclipse of the Abbasid Caliphate by Abu Shuja Muhammad ibn al-Husayn, frequent contact with the Roman Empire means he writes about it quite a lot though it isn't the core subject of his chronicle

>The Italian peninsula, and the whole source of legitimacy for their citizens: the senate.
see previous post for senate

was the Byzantine Empire the Roman Empire for you up until the eleventh century when Robert Guiscard and the Normans took what remained of the Italian Peninsula to the Romans?

I made this image for you, do you agree with it?

>Byzantine is a modern word, yes, used to make a difference between the roman empire and the provinces that broke off of it when it fell
the term 'Byzantine' became popularized by French poofs trying to be clever and yes as a way of distinguishing PERIODS of the Roman Empire's existence to make referencing it easier, Byzantine being from the fall of the West to 1453
Byzantine historians like Psellos frequently referred to Constantinople as Byzantium because of that Greek colony having been situated there in antiquity, French and German historians in modern times are just following his example, though he still referred to the Empire as the Roman Empire and it's people as the Romans

Try actually reading the hadith. Some "scholars" take some ridiculous interpretations but that doesn't make them mainstream. Nevermind the fact that hadith in general are unverifiable and drawn up centuries after the Quran and the actual Islamic founding, making them far from mandatory to follow by Muslims.

The Roman Empire was split in east and west by Theodosius I to make administration and protection easier. The east and west were the Roman Empire together. When the west fell the east continued, so the Roman Empire only lost a western 'province' if you will. The eastern province of the Roman Empire continued to exist and even expanded. They even got Rome back, did they endure a namechange then? No, because they were already the Roman Empire, with its capital in Constantinople. If the Roman Empire died in 476 because the west fell, then the Ottoman Empire fell in 1812 because they lost their Moldavian province. If citizens in the eastern part of the Roman Empire were Greeks, then those in the west were Gauls and Celtiberians. A Roman was someone who lived in the Roman Empire (and the Roman Empire consisted of Anatolia, Greece, Eastern Balkans, Levant and Egypt after 476 ad). Nobody anywhere is a pureblooded Roman or Greek or any other nationality.

the actual combat isn't better, but it has a load of mechanics that are better
it's still directional but the animations are worse since they're more robotic like the original M&B animations or the floris ones
there's no chambering or kicking
though you can aim your overhead (but you can do this in M&B with an actions tweak), there's an underswing animation for non stabbing weapons, and daggers stab in all 4 directions, but it doesn't have upstab for spear weapons
the armor system and hitbox system are better than warbands since they're model based, but the problem is it's client side so if you have shitty latency you have an advantage
the weapon customization was good but in the end it was brought down by bad balance changes and weapon durability, which actively punishes you for parrying
the crossbow and bow systems were better, though they literally had 0 spread
there was actual head flipping

i wouldn't say WotR was better but it had a load of mechanics that could and should be in warband to make it a better game

Debatable in what way? The campaign AI at high level makes just your faction retarded and inferior to everybody elses'.

If such a thing is debatable to have enabled or not, then having 1/2 damage suffered or not is basically just as debatable
Which, yeah, it "is" since it's difficulty settings for your SP game but obviously one is a silly setting.

And if you want to argue that claim of "only these 2 settings are debatable" - why aren't you reccing that 1/2 damage? Because it makes the game easier for the player, rather than weirdly "harder"? Is personal preference only for handicaps?

Go half and half with infantry that have shields and archers/crossbowmen. You can't go all ranged in PoP or the garrison sallies out and your archers only get 3 arrows because the devs think that's balanced. Get your infantry to hold in a line in front of the ranged troops and let them whittle down as much of the garrison as they can before you charge.

I like this game but I seem to have lost all direction in the campaign. My king doesn't conquer any castles and they're too strong for me to do it myself. I can't seem to get elected marshall. I keep growing my troops with garrisons but it doesn't seem to be going anywhere because the max party is still too small to conquer the world alone.

I've destroyed all the enemies armies a few times over, the lords say "we're about to win" but they regenerate again. I can't capture all their lords because they escape after a while and denying ransom reduces honor

What am I supposed to do at this point? Just grind reputation with lords? Please help

>>148915729
You can bait your King into declaring war on people, also if you want to get rid of enemy lords you keep them captured and don't ransom them
>>
>>148916516

All the reputation.
>>
>>148915729
You don't want to become Marshal. It causes you to accrue controversy. It's better if one of your good friends becomes Marshal so you can then tell him what to do. Also if you don't have a single lord with a relation over 60 you've been wasting your time. A good way to boost relations with lords is to let them engage the enemy while outnumbered then join in and save them when they're close to defeat.

Also taking castles by yourself isn't as hard as you think, provided you have mostly elite units. It can be costly, but it's still doable even if you're outnumbered. Would not advise if you're the type who gets knocked out 5 minutes into a siege though.

Yeah but it also creates setbacks due to controversy. Takes a while for that shit to go away, hinders your ability to politick with people since they won't want to deal with you while you're controversial. I tend to play a very political game of M&B, lots of secret negotiations and bribes. I had one game where I was in the Nords, and this one guy who was lord of Tihr kept defecting to Swadia or Rhodoks, but becuase my relation with him so high I'd just go have a convo with him and he'd be right back in Nords.

Eventually got sick of his shit and just conquered Tihr for myself.

>>148919450
>I can take castles but don't get awarded them
Sounds like you've already got a lot of territory then, not sure what you want more for since you'd just incur tax penalty. If you want to accelerate the game then you'll have to step up your political game and boost relations with lords as high as possible. Depending on how you want to do things, you'll also want Right to Rule to be at least 50 if you're gonna start a faction. With high lord relations and RtR you might manage to secure some vassals and not be shat on out the gate.

No. No survivors. No heirs. No kin. No allies. None left to carry on their cause or raise a flag against you.

i played around with it a bit in cheat mode
some feed back:
some of my troops where spawning without their weapons, like 2h axes and hammers, sword 2h troops seemed to be fine (fyi they had the right amount of strength to use them)
my tier 7 units spawns with no helmet (the g helm)
i noticed that even for a tier 7 unit, the weapon proficiency was pretty low for its main weapon usage, and thats with no secondaries
also im guessing theres probably a reason for this, but being able to re-edit troops would be nice, plus where do i hire custom troops? besides the camp menu, i didnt wait along for too long, but my villages where still spawning the original culture

this is just after a very brief test, so I didnt look around very hard for things that i mightve been doing wrong

Takes a bit of time for them to show up in villages, got to give it a few days or so. I'll look into the other stuff. I think I just realised I've made a bit of a mistake with the code for determining proficiency points, will have to fix that.

Try to get towns and castles, villages don't matter. Build relations with as many lords of your faction as possible. Grow your army as much as possible, and leave a good amount (150ish) in each fief you own for manpower. If you don't have a waifu yet then go to a tournament and win it and then you'll usually get a good boost to your relations, get to the 30s with both her and her father to marry + a castle and some renown etc. Once you feel that you've got a good army, good support from your fellow vassals and a good number of fiefs, siege towns of warring factions and when the king doesn't give it to you, make your own faction. You *have* to make sure you have *at least* 600 men on your side (not necessarily in your army) if you want to pull this off right.

How do claimants worm?

E.g. What happens when you support a claimant as a vassal? What happens to your relations with the faction you're a vassal to? If the claimant is successful, do you leave your earlier faction and join the claimant's?
>>
>>148930245
Sarranid guards are the worst faction infantry available
>>
>>148931101
You join claimant faction, claimant joins your party. Claimant faction is at war with the faction its trying to supplant, this is permanent. Claimant faction can engage in war with other factions, though.
You win by getting all fiefs and lords from the faction you are trying to supplant, basically same as eradicating a normal faction.
