Autohaven and MacMillan are admittedly the worst maps for Billy's chainsaw.

In addition to what the other anons said, I've been playing a lot of Billy (just hit rank 1 again playing mostly him) and I'm starting to get the hang of him and his saw.

Naturally he excels at open areas that allow him to zip around with the chainsaw, so the wreckers and estate maps are a tad more disadvantageous. However, on all of the maps, there's a weird indentation in the ground between two "tiles" of the map. Kind of looks like tectonic plates. Anyway, that little indent is a great place to charge across the map from.

On maps like those, I'll look for it and wait a few seconds or so before maniac charging down the indent/slightly on a path with the indent so that I can rush to the furthest gen and spook and survivors on it.

Most survivors at low ranks/levels won't know how to juke the chainsaw very well in close quarters, but higher ranks will. When you rev, people will try to stick to cover and if you're both hugging the same piece of cover, you can keep revving as you strafe around and they won't run away. Do that but let the rev progress die down to almost nothing until you can get them to run or to think they're safe like that, whereupon you give them a crack with your hammer or saw them down as they run away.

The chainsaw is like a skillshot and it can be a real pain in the dick to aim. Try to anticipate where the survivor is going to run to, look ahead to your obstacles and what path they might take to escape you (window or pallet or a corner). I've had moments where I should've chainsaw charged them and would have gotten them, but I didn't because I'm so used to chasing on the other two killers who don't have that kind of gapcloser.

All you can really do is practice, but as Billy I think the key is aggression and constant pressure. Scatter the survivors in the beginning with a chainsaw charge at a gen, chase someone and down/hook them.

I'm a big fan of Speed Limiter and Begrimed Chain on Hillbilly.

I know it's bugged, but combining it with speed limiter makes it fair, and I get so much deviousness points. I use that combination whenever I have a deviousness offering, and I rake in the points. The key is in never camping hooks.

Then he took me to the basement and proceeded to pick me up and then drop me for like ten minutes, like he was trying to get me to quit or something. I just thought it was weird since I've talked with him a few times on here and he never seemed to have many problems with things like that but I guess I was wrong. Either way, I felt bad because I don't like infinijuking but the area I was in was far too open to create distance since he had vision on me 24/7 and was too close to run anywhere else. Oh well.

NOED is cheap because it's basically a free kill perk. When you get those doors powered there is probably only two of you left. You can play whatever fancy tricks you want like hiding near a door, waiting for the killer to show up and see no one on it, then start working on it when he leaves, but he could come back.

NOED turns the "open the door" portion of the game into a game of luck. He won't get both of you, but he might get you and it won't be your fault. It's a cheap perk meant to ensure that shitters get an easy third kill.

He kind of sucked major dick and was easy to juke away from, but he ended up having NOED 3, Brutal Strength 3, Spies 3, and Iron Grap 3 so I think someone let their kid play or he was just garbage using a save file.

since I had points from the abandon and the regular sacrifice, I was free to chase this asshole around the entire time. The other survivor who was playing wasn't actually good at the game so it took him quite awhile to finish the generators, but he got there. I think it took him maybe 6 minutes, while we danced around the tree. After he left, I think we danced for another 5 before inifinijuking jerk realized I was never going to get tired of it

after he tried to actually run and I downed him because he's bad, I dragged it out even further by picking up and dropping him for another 8 or so minutes

He's right, though. Of course it sucks to be the one being camped, but a half-competent team will get two , maybe three generators while the killer stands around with his thumb up his ass.

It doesn't really change the fact that this game isn't REALLY a team game, though. If the other three survivors end up winning after I got camped, I get nothing for it. That's the big issue about hook camping, imo.

I admittedly got a bit salty just now.

2 Survivors left, I get downed, other guy gets hooked while I hide from the Trapper and then managed to crawl to the hatch.
He tries to unhook and speed up the sacrifice but then he struggles for those extra 400 survival points instead of letting me go through the hatch and we both die at the same time.
I saved his ass so many times too.
