I'm so freaking glad for the deal with Deep Silver, we can actually get games like 7th Dragon III and SMT IV:A physically now, and don't have to wait for one and a half years to get some fuck-you-level digital-only release. But seeing how Aksys seems to get all the awesome Vita games on their belt, like Shiren 5, Exist Archive and Tokyo Xanadu, I hate how I have to either import the physical release or settle with digital-only shit if I want to have them if no other company can get the publishing rights for them. PQube is the one company I would have trusted with them, but seeing how they are so busy with VD and SG0, I'm not exactly hopeful. At least giving us a chance to get an EU retail release somewhere would be enough for me, since I would be buying all those games Day One.

Break all their armor and destroy all the orbs without accidentally overkilling the boss? Somewhat challenging because if you transform all the way to Final or Third Drive, you might do too much damage. Otherwise, it's not really hard. Someone sell me on Odin Sphere. Gameplay looks kinda fun, but my favorite thing to do in games is continue after a story mode and maximize my character with new content that unlocks after completing it. Does Odin Sphere have anything like that?

Not really. It won't satisfy some JRPG grinding itch since it's mostly a beat 'em up. You finish the game at level 50/99 with most of the skills you want to use maxed out. There's nothing to gain from leveling more.

The postgame stuff is mostly for your skill level. There's an Xtra new game option that gives you very little health so you have to actually play well instead of just being OP.

Checking everything (talking to all the NPCs) is a huge draw for the series though, and it's fairly unique to the series to have unique NPCs with dialog that changes often. It is a chore to go around talking to everyone though.

Trails in the Sky has no central hub to return to and it's much less structured. It's more of an adventure around the country. Cold Steel 2 is less structured as well.

Similar fighting system but with more emphasis on SRPG like grid based limited movement.

How can i git gud at demon gaze. This game sucks so much. I one shot all the small mobs who then give me 1k exp while i need 10000000million for a level up.I have the strongest weapons equiped but every attack just miss against a boss just because lol and while the boss just constantly heal i cant kill her.

I wanna take that back. There are a lot more tracks I like, but I'm not sure what made me say they were underwhelming in the first place.

There are two different things that matters:
1) Whether an attack hits.
2) How much damage an attack deals.

The first 1 is determined by your HIT stats vs the enemy's EVA stats. Most likely, it's some kind of dice roll determined by (HIT-EVA). To hit the enemy, either improve your HIT stats via equipment or HIT boosts, or cast slows on enemy to lower their EVA. Mages can cast slow while Healers can cast HIT boosts. Alternatively, sometimes equipment can give you extra HIT boosts. Some Demons do that as well.

This also means that you SHOULD NOT use skills that lower your HIT when you are already missing attacks normally. Particularly Gazer's Bane skills.

As for the second, when an attack connects the damage is some random value with mean value dependent on your ATK vs enemies' DEF. Quite importantly, it also depends on the number of attacks your character has.
