3's biggest flaw is that it doesn't favour various HP ranges, 27 is the bare minimum for lower levels and here you should be softcapping it or have sonething like 35. You'll die in three-two hits from anything otherwise.
You can reduce sone end if you are using lighter weapons and not spamming spells.

When it came to myself playing DS3, I got mildly frustrated at some bosses, not nearly as much as with some DS2 bosses, but some fights in DS3 were pretty challenging. However, I didn't want to summon because I knew that it would be more fun to find out about the boss on my own, try out different strategies and learn to read their moves. Every time I died, I figured something out or learned the dodge timings better, and when I defeated the boss I felt really accomplished and satisfied, because bosses in DS3 are challenging, but fair. I believe that summoning for bosses makes them piss easy, because it divides the boss' attention.

These games are amazing to really get the feeling that you're a badass mystical warrior *fedora tip* and the feeling is imo enhanced by the fact that you being victorious is far from certain. People drop this game all the time, so the idea of persevering to see the game to it's end (and then continuing to play forever, lol) is glorious. You evolve from a fatrolling Knight Armor shitter into a pssh nothing personnel kid who fastrolls through enemies with nothing but speed as their armor and teleports behind them with a katana and this isn't just through leveling and finding equipment you can use, but learning tricks about the enemies and the environment, it's an absolute joy to play when you're learning new stuff about the game!

Summon if you like, but I believe you'll have more fun if you solo the bosses.

If you're willing to stick around for a few transfers and help me dupe more sets of some specific rings, you can feel free to keep any of them you'd like. I don't have literally all of the +1 and +2 rings - I think I've passed up on some of the stoneplates.

Basically I'd just need you to stand around for a while at High Wall. Keep summoning my red phantom as I drop off rings then quit and reload, then return the rings I dropped (except for the copies you want to keep).

I think I'll need to do 4 sets of dupes total, plus one more for the ones you need.

Oh, that's a little better then. Make sure to pile on a good bit of poise/armor. Your 1hr1 is pretty good for poking at people trying to come in on you, you'll end up using mostly that, make sure to freeaim it (and all your other attacks). Keep a fast strength-based weapon in your left hand. If someone gets parry-happy, make sure to two-hand and smack that motherfucker in the face. More health and endurance never hurts, especially endurance, because more stamina means more empty r1s/r2s to throw out as bait. Remember that everyone's goal is always to try to roll behind you to get a backstab, use this knowledge against them; smart people will just poke you from far away with a stone ring, though, and for them a parry tool can be very handy.

i think i'm finally done with das3. theorycrafting is shit because of all the restrictions of viability so even if you make a neat non-meta gimmick build, you're forced to play boring against boring playing people or you'll just never win a fight.

even in all the /dsg/ fightclubs i've been in, you'll have people using "shit" weapons, but still playing like meta lords. i.e.: super passive jund tech or super aggressive running r1 spam.

i think i'm gonna go play something else and hope the dlc will at least be decent.

Every buff except Blessed Weapon has damage scale off your spell buff, and even then BW's healing regeneration scales still iirc. Carthus Flame Arc gives the least damage relatively but lasts the longest. Lightning Blade and Darkmoon Blade give the exact same buff in damage but just changes between Lightning and Magic Damage. Dark Blade is similar but gives slightly less damage for no reason compared to them.

It gives a flat 7.5% bonus AR depending on the weapons physical AR. Meaning low base damage weapons won't get much but things like UGS weapons will. It's still probably the best buff for non-paired weapons however because that gives a great amount compared of physical damage compared to the elemental split damage added by the other buffs. The main problem with Blessed Weapon though is that it lasts only 45 seconds, the shortest of any buff by far.

You can think of the spell buff of a catalyst as being kind of like crit multi on a weapon, except that it increases with upgrade level and FAI/INT. Scaling is more important than spell buff on catalysts in general, which is why weapons with lower scaling but higher spell buff end up doing less damage at max upgrade with high stats.

I mean this is from what I've read, but in all honesty spell damage scaling in this game is bizarre. For example the Crystal Chime appears to have superior spell buff AND scaling for casting both miracles and sorceries (I mean, C/C scaling for refined infusions almost always gives better returns than a heavy or sharp right?) but it does less damage for both types of spells than Court Sorc's or Saint's. I swear the scaling is mislabeled on some of them.

I was getting rekt all night last night and my build was pretty bad too. I was trying to do a quality build with some faith and attunement splashed in for pyromancies but it just wasn't working out. Being severely underleveled didn't help me either.
The guys in the FC last night had some really interesting builds though and I actually did manage to get a win against the katanabro who was just wrecking everyone's shit beforehand. I felt like a fucking god for like, a minute until the next guy came in and 2shot me.

Significant. It's easy to reach millions of souls if you don't lose any as you climb the NG+ ladder.

And NG+ doesn't improve drop rates, but it DOES give you the +1/+2 Gold Serpent rings and the opportunity to dual-wield CSRs, as well as the souls to fill your box to capacity with rusted coins.
