There is a bit of a delay when you hold down the Share Button for taking screenshots. I find it easier to tap the button, and then press triangle to save them once I enter the Share Menu. It's how I'm able to take screenshots like pic-related.

But for action stuff, you'd have to hold down the Share Button since it's not recommend to be idle for a few seconds.
