I'm wondering if it's just somehow a nationwide Comcast issue. I had a ping I couldn't even estimate (hit Miasma, didn't register for 28 seconds) and constant "Connection to server has been lost" on 4 servers between Primal, Aether and Mana. More or less consistent lag in both NPC movement, hit detection and interaction. I'm only annoyed because a friend decided to start playing the game tonight, I've never experienced latency issues before and we're both getting it, so of course the default reaction is "WOW NICE GAME NIPS, FUCKING PIECE OF SHIT SERVERS" despite it clearly being something else.

So I am learning/leveling white mage, really liking it so far. I have played the other two healers for a little and raid as sch. In level 50 and below instances I am like a god, I just throw DS regen up and DPS 98% of the time. I queued into Dusk Vigil and found that I really had to heal A LOT, even with a tank who was using CDs. I mean pedal to the metal PoM cure II spamming. Is that just the "adjustment" from 50 to 50+ content, like how everyone's DPS goes down a bit in the HW leveling dungeons? Or am I doing something wrong? Should I throw up Medica II on a pull with regen too? I don't like all the overhealing. I make use of e4e, virus, divine seal, prepull SS, all that stuff. I'm not a person who saves cooldowns.

Does anyone here know if, assuming I can consistently press a macro the instant the GCD comes up, there's a measurable difference in command inputs over the course of a fight versus queueing in commands with the GCD buffer?

I was still breaking 1k dps on WAR at i202 in A1S with this setup before 3.2 shit all over tanks, so at this point I'm more just quibbling over if I could eke out a tiny bit more by biting the bullet and blowing up my screen with hotbars

(that wasn't a brag figure or anything, I don't know what the benchmark for 'impressive' DPS on offtank was in 3.1. Just trying to give a rough idea of where the macro method I'm employing has gotten me.)
