The difference is that with probable harm you have to have something to back your claims. Saying "Someone might use that gun to kill someone, I'll lock down the armory" is acting on potential harm. Saying "This person used that gun to kill someone, the person still has that gun, and is still around people, but not actively shooting the place, I should lock them down and take away the gun" and acting on that is acting on probable harm, which is fine.

Shutting down atmos round start because someone might release plasma is acting on potential harm. Shutting down atmos when half of engineering has harmed people and the air mix chamber is filled with the thing is acting on probable harm.

In the previous case, the HoS had killed a murderer, while having the ability to simply arrest them (they were stunned and unarmed. Instead the HoS husked the dude with lasers then ran him over with the murderer's wheelchair. Since the HoS is expected to deal with a lot of people and a lot of criminals, it's perfectly reasonable to think that he'd do such drastic actions again.

The laws state that you cannot allow harm by inaction. Letting something you know for a fact to be harmful around humans is inaction. You wouldn't let people enter a room filled with fire right ? Same thing. You just have to think of people as objects, is that object harmful ? If yes, then prevent it from entering contact with humans. The difference is that, while you know a gun can be harmful, it hasn't actually harmed anyone, thus isn't considered harmful, thus acting on it (by removing the guns) is acting on potential harm. Replace "gun" with person and the same logic applies. Once it did harm a human, it's no longer potential harm to remove the threat.

I'm having a problem where I can't connect to some servers, specifically /vg/station.

Half the time it says I'm connecting, then Dream Seeker says theres a problem and will close.

The other half of the time it opens as a background process and can only be closed through task manager.

Almost all other stations work except for /vg/station, is there some fix or something?

Some favorites have been:
-Making a whole bunch of coins as a miner and building a gashapon collection (after I got a few mineral deliveries to R&D of course)
-Fixing up the observation lounge in MetaClub and mixing/downing drinks while I yell at Rimshot and beat the shit out of him
-Exploring Deff maint (Between antags and crowbarring my way into zombie rooms, I always wind up dead. It's great)

I don't always start with a plan, but if I wander around enough I'll stumble onto something that can hold my attention for the round.
