The design notes for 76 specifically note he is a transition character for Call of Duty players. He is dead simple; Lshift to sprint, m2 to fire rockets, E to drop a healing field for a few seconds. Q is hitscan, making spray & pray actually work while it's active, but before that some aim is required.

The problem is that competitive things like odd numbers so that a clear winner can be determined. A gametype like payload is pretty much glued to a 2 round system unless both attack and defense have about an equal chance to win: then it can be 1 round.

Sudden Death, and the coinflip, is the fairest way to introduce a 3rd round into a 2 round dynamic, and determine a clear winner. People don't like it because it's perceived as unbalanced, even though both sides have about an equal chance to win.

It's a good system that appears bad.

Why do you think they need to nerf her, she's in a very balanced position right now. He rez required her to be near her dead team mates and if it doesn't kill her then she's in a lot of danger generally and if they make her ultimate activate after the voice line then she'll die before she ever finishes saying it making her shit. With rez you generally jump into a group of dead teammates to get the rez, where there is the enemy team. If her rez doesn't immediately activate then the enemy team will just target the lone medic.

I agree with this. I don't think it's an awful system. The one change I'd make is to shorten the pre-start time. The defense having a minute to prepare when you've only got 2 minutes to attack seems to favor the defenders a little.

a lot of defenders tend to totally drop their spaghetti anyway, they know the pressures on them and they lose their shit when uncle monkey comes to fuck their face or eight tracers seem to come over the wall.

No, your ultimate doesn't charge until the door open

Remove the coinflip and let the team with the quicker time choose if they want to attack or defense.

The choice doesn't really matter because sudden death is pretty balanced anyway, but it would take away the feeling that you lost to a coinflip when you actually lost because the other team was better.

This avoids the bullshit feeling of losing a sudden death, doesn't have to deal with contest or stopwatch cheese, and doesn't introduce ties into competitive.

Tracer/Diva spam on the last point or the last meters of the cart is already a thing. However it only works if your spawn is very close to the point/cart you have to contest. Otherwise it only delays the inevitable.
