We could have had more laid back and open ended adventures in the Milky Way galaxy. I don't understand Bioware's fixation with the Reapers. The whole Reaper thing should have been an after thought. Something that plays out a thousand years after Shepard's exploits. Maybe a standalone game past the trilogy or a new trilogy where you actually fight the Reapers instead of Cerberus.

I think the Reaper invasion was poorly handled. I think ME2 was a step in a better direction, but rushing ME3 and trying to conclude the Reaper threat there, was a detriment to the franchise.

I think it should've been possible to get Ashley a recommendation for the special forces (even though it doesn't really matter, you either pass the requirements or you don't).
She can clearly keep up with Shepard, even when he himself is spec ops. Sure, she's a Spectre, but the council must be willing to wait a year and a half to get an operator with the best training possible, it only makes sense that you'd want the best people you can get.

Which class is funnest? I started a game as a vanguard, thinking biotic and shooting would be fun, but I don't know how much I'm missing out on the soldier and adept. I know off the bat I can't use assault rifles and heavy armor, which I can deal with, but how much of the biotic stuff am I missing? I think I might reload and start as an Adept instead

soldier is neglectable since every class is basically soldier in ME3.
Never was a big fan of the biotics because they are overpowered and take the last bit of excitement out of the gameplay.

Sniper with tech skills. no drones, they are engineer class.
In 2/3 you get the cloak which is cool for some stategies. I also have an assault rifle with me for cqc + the carnifex for them sick headshots.
But the most satisfying thing in Mass Effect is to snipe someones head off with a widow and watch it in slow-mo.

Part of the fun in books is being able to identify with a character, which can be hard if they're so much better and flawless than real human beings. And if you start slow, then the character can grow in believable manner.

Science-Fiction still has a lot of short stories and 1-book stories going, which just build their own setting and the main character is mostly an Average Joe, I really like that. Sadly the Fantasy genre has completely developed away from that. There is only multi-book epics now and the short stories play in these universes.
Forgotten Realms is the surprising exception to the rule. Sure, it has stuff like Drizzt, who is basically an Übermensch (and I am reading one of those books right now to get it over with), but there's still lots and lots and lots of one-shots and short stories that have Average Joe characters who just manage to get involved in some exceptional shit.

Detective stories are basically the best in that regard, because the main character mostly relies on its wit and not its trained/inherent mega-skills, but I can't, for the life of me, think of a fantasy detective story except for Murder in Cormyr and maybe a few of the Disc World books, while you have loads and loads of them in science-fiction (Robot trilogy and other Asimov stuff for example, he's basically the Average Joe writer).

I wonder if Bioware will play a bit more with different body shapes. Both SWTOR and DA:Inquisition had shorter people, slim people, tall and buff people, etc., so I hope they add some more variety in Andromeda.
The Old Republic had 4 distinct body shapes for each gender, so I don't see a reason why.

alright, it's been 3 months and 130 gameplay hours since I bought the trilogy for €12,99 and it's been amazing, until the end of ME3. I liked it for most part now, but why the fuck did the catalyst have to be this fucking kid version of the master reaper? Why wasn't there an epic face off with Harbinger? Why didn't you actually fight alongside every species involved in the war and get to see their involvement in all this? The ending could have been so much better.

Quarians have two Starfighter types in military service. The bigger Stiletto and the smaller Iridaan class. The Iridaan is primary a Interceptor craft, made for patroling around the flotilla to intercept enemy ships or missiles wich can endanger the Liveships. The ship is fast, but just light armed. Two GARDIAN Laser nodes and two small Mass Accelerators made it good to destroy incoming missiles or other fighters, but are not a real threat for bigger ships like cruisers.
The Cockpit is made for two Pilots, a Gunner and a Navigator, but it has enough room in the aft section for four more passengers.
