I've had the game since launch but I've only been able to play for maybe two hours, and over half of that was in my house getting bombarded with Drowzees. Every time I leave the house the game freezes and I have to reset but then I get the perpetual loading screen with "Failed to get player information from the server"

I really, really want to like this game but it's literally impossible to play and there is nothing that I can to to even log in. I got to level 4 by catching one Jynx, one Ghastly, and over a dozen Drowzees because those are the only Pokemon that come to my house.

Does the semicircle bar beneath the cp determines the maximum cp of the pokemon? So i have one 227cp and its more than half full, does that mean powering it up wont get it higher than 500 cp for example?

Has anyone figured out what parts of town ar better for catching pokemon in? I live in a town of 15k people and for the most part I just see Pidgey's, Ratata's, Bugs and the occasional eevee. I'm catching all of them as I find them but I barely see any other kinds.

Battling is really ancillary to the game. The main design is to just keep going out and hitting pokestops and finding wild pokeymans. That's the same reason why training them up is such a shitfest. They don't want to you to find the handful of pokingmen you want and then training them up. They want you out there finding more and more pookers, using up more balls and more balls and more balls. So you dump a bunch of stardust and candy powering up some pogoman, then out in the wild you find one that is even better. Which means more hunting for more candy and more stardust. Which means more lures and more balls. Gyms are there mostly to make people compete with each other and keep going out to get bigger and better.

Yes, somebody else did exactly that as a proof of concept. Worked fine. Since then people have had to tweak settings and do all sorts of wacko shit for it to work. Lots of people reporting problems. GPS spoof teleports can and will cause softbans which require a timeout. If you don't NEED to GPS spoof, don't. Japan and China are starting to get bursts of service, same with Brazil. Niantic is working on shit.

This is normal. Ingress spoofing went through the exact same shit. Realize that why people got banned in Ingress was largely because other people were reporting them, and false flag reports as well. This was why many Ingress folks hate spoofers: the false flag part.

That and Ingress is more competitive than PoGo.
