I always see this. People like to draw the posterboy, but they swap the shotty for the pistol. Why do this, and not just swap both weapons while you're at it?

Also, Henryk uses the saw spear, not the cleaver IIRC

2nd one is a little better, ends right before the dogs get possessed, Farnese is a barbie doll though.

I think I figured out why the cgi is so terrible, it's the thin lines, in drawing it's important to vary the thickness of your lines and and break them up every now and then, to keep the image looking attractive and that's lost with cgi models.

The cgi is terrible because it's so stiff. It's like watching in-engine cutscenes of a really bad PS2 game, there's zero fluidity, and everything's limp. I don't really mind some of the actual art, it could be better, sure, but good lord the actual animation is hilariously bad. That's what you get for letting moeshit studios animate Berserk. PS2 era Ludwig should be fun to watch, though.

Yharnam Hunter Trousers vs Tomb Prospector Trousers vs Yhar-har ghul Black trousers. I can't decide help
>>
>>148075396
Level STR first, do not pay very much attention to Bloodtinge in the early game. You can summon Valtr for Ludwig (or, if you have PS+, you can summon people from here and get away with being pretty weak). If you want to use the Gatling Gun you need to level Skill up to 12, which will let you wield the Whirlgig and make everything a lot easier. You will not be able to get the Bloodletter without being insanely good or having to grind through the majority of the game first, but it's doable. I actually found Maria much, much harder because my viscerals were so weak against her, and in her final form she had combos that would full health me.

Remember that Yharnamites regularly consume blood, more than booze and sex, and are full of the stuff. They receive it for medical treatment Yharnamites are prone to beasthood, and are conscripted by the church on nights of the hunt. That's what the Yharnam Hunter set is, the uniform of people conscripted as hunters.

As for the dream, countless hunters have passed through there, how do you know every poor Yharnamite shitter hasn't been there at least once? And the Hunter's Nightmare has a river made of the remains of hunters.

Anyone can be a hunter.

>>
>>148078990
>how do you know every poor Yharnamite shitter hasn't been there at least once?
First, because they leave ragdolls behind upon death, instead of disappearing into mist like dreaming Hunters do (even blood-drunk Hunters who are on their way to the Nightmare)

Second, Ludwig's whole gimmick was him recruiting non-dreaming Yharnam normies to join in the Hunt, because apparently there weren't enough Dreaming Hunters to go around.

And the Yharnam Hunter Set explicitly states that non-dreaming Hunters are mere pretenders who get brutally fucked by the beasts by virtue of not having superhuman strength, agility, or rally powers
>>
>>148079252
Not the guy you're responding to but why do you have to dream to be a hunter? Gehrman was a hunter before the dream existed and he did just fine
>>
>>148078990
And Ludwig is the source of all this dead/failed hunters. The spring of the river.

So, thanks to Ludwig everyone can be a hunter ... by name only and as long as an OP beast cuts them to ribbons.

True hunters have talent and restrain.
>>
>>148079573
well, wasnt he the first hunter to dream? Id imagine he 'created' it in a way.

tip: I have no idea what im talking about.
>>
>>148079573
there's a distinction between Dreaming and non-Dreaming Hunters.

Dreaming Hunters are Hunters as we know them.

non-Dreaming Hunters are "Hunters" in the sense that they actually don't have any chance of doing anything productive, and will either die immediately or go blood-drunk, and/or transform in to a beast themselves.

Gehrman and his crew started Dreaming in the first place to boost their own powerlevels, because there's only so much you can do as a normal man. Especially when Byrgenwerth was sending Hunters into the Labyrinth to spelunk, and they had to fight the legitimately superhuman entities therein

>>
>>148079573
You can technically be a Hunter without dreaming, the dream just gives you infinite retries at any given scenario and essentially makes you an unkillable godlike being who can destroy anything based on pure trial and error

As seen with the NPC hunters who don't dream, you CAN survive without but one death and you're done.

NPC Hunters vanish on death.

And other people have said it, there's dreaming and non-dreaming hunters. But all those gravestones in the dream mean there's been a lot of dreaming hunters, many of whom were Yharnamites by virtue of proximity.
>>
>>148080290
Laurence, Gehrman and co. beckoned the MP with an umbilical cord way back when they were all still in Byrgenwerth, and asked it to create the Hunter's Dream for them and give the Hunters powers. In exchange, Gehrman was trapped in the Dream forever as it's host.
>>
>>148080342
>because it's just a dream, none of it is real
>he thinks it's actually a dream

I have bad news for you, anon, it's all real. Dream and Nightmare aren't literal terms. The Nightmare is an alien dimension inhabited and presided over by the Great Ones. They are also references to the Dreamlands stories of H.P. Lovecraft, where the Dreamlands were simply another realm humans could access via dreaming, but other creatures like Ghouls could access by going underground.

And you can get vermin from waking world enemies without the rune.

>>148078113
Whirlgig is both broken and pretty boring. Nothing interesting about it unless you enjoy holding L2 and watching people have seizures.

BOM's transform soothes my autism but it isn't that fun as a weapon, feels a lot like mashing R1 all the time

Both beast claw forms are overrated, using Vanquishers Seal in DaS2 and roll cancelling aroumd with impunity was more fun.

Parasite is just straight up boring. Its attacks are very unsatisfying, it's best used dash R1inhg around, it's fairly weak, and its attacks are pretty samey other than the vomit and the explosion.

Did each of them dream during a different hunt and were needed to make sure the people of Yharnam made it through the night? I never really got the point of what the others were doing. Evidently the Good Hunter put an end to things by offing MP but what about all the others before?

all of the Hunters are in a contract to find and kill Mergo.

People like Eileen and Djura had irrecovably turned away from the path that would lead them to Mergo (by hiding out in Old Yharnam, by dedicating themselves to killing other Hunters, etc.) and so they were "fired" by the MP

>>148081671

Every other time you kill a Great One, you get a Nightmare Slain message, except with the Amygdalas.

Is this because all of the Amygdalas form a communal entity so you aren't really slaying a Great One, or is it because every other Great One is the source of a certain part of the Dream (Mergo with the nightmare of Mensis, Orphan with the Hunter's Nightmare, MP with the Hunter's Dream)?

MP wanted Mergo dead. In the end, you killed Mergo, so your contract is fulfilled. It embraces you in those two endings because you just killed Gehrman, the host of the Hunter's Dream. MP is using Hunters for it's own purposes, so it wants the Hunter's Dream to stay, so it makes you into the next host.

I doubt that every hunter was employed to kill Mergo. Mergo is a BABY great one, and judging by the sheer mass of gravestones in the dream, there's been hundreds, if not thousands of hunters.

I assume MP has had several targets in the past, they're just irrelevant. He wants Mergo dead specifically this time but that doesn't mean he doesn't ALSO want say, Amygdala dead. If a real life hitman went out and killed his employer's enemy who WASN'T the contract, I'm sure he'd be grateful, but the job still isn't done.

>>148077079
Amy Arm is generally a thousand times better. Beast Cutter is too slow.
>>
>>148082298
I don't think the "hunt" is an actual event. It's more like a personal downward spiral into madness and understanding.

perhaps for the same reason why Yharnam (who is it's mother) is grateful to you for killing Mergo, as well -- you've ended a torturous existence in the Nightmare
>>

even if this weren't true, sane Hunters can voluntarily enter the Nightmare (see: you and Simon), but only the blood-drunk are actually imprisoned there

>>148082671
the Hunt definitively is a thing, the Chapel Dweller and the Hunter Chief Emblem mention it, and the Hunt ends when the night ends. Hunters just get called out whenever the Beasts become too numerous, spend the night clearing them out, and go about their business the next day.
>>
>>148082679
Yeah man, makes sense that the Wet Nurse is guarding the child. I'm just saying that it's never seen at all, nor is its death. Seemed like the Queen was thankful to you for killing the Wet Nurse because now Mergo could be freed, not killed. I find it hard to believe that she'd be happy that you killed her child.
>>
>>148082930
>I'm just saying that it's never seen at all, nor is its death
well, since Mergo is most likely the child of Oedon (considering his mother's prowess with blood magic), being formless shouldn't be that much of a surprise.

also note that you only see NIGHTMARE SLAIN when Mergo's crying stops, not when the Wet Nurse falls over dead.

Also consider that the only way to be free of the Nightmare is via murder, as seen by you in the "Yharnam Sunrise" ending, and by the Orphan of Kos -- and both times, it's portrayed as an overall good thing, like ripping off a band-aid

>>
>>148083615
>MP is never mentioned as the source of the scourge

First off, there are THREE (3) lore notes that explicitly draw a connection between the MP and the Scourge

>when the Red Moon hangs low, the line between man and beast is blurred
>the Mensis ritual must be stopped, lest we all become beasts
>to escape this dreadful Hunter's Dream, halt the source of the spreading scourge of beasts, lest the Night carry on forever

The first lore note draws a clear connection between the MP (aka the Red Moon, as distinct from the Orphan, who is a yellow/shredded moon) and the Scourge

The second say that the Mensis Ritual will transform people into beasts (again, because they're summoning the MP), and the third tells you that you escape the Hunter's Dream by stopping the MPs descent by halting the Mensis Ritual (again, a connection). Saying that there's no in-game evidence to support this is flat out wrong.

Secondly, we know from the CDs that the Curse of Beasts was originally laid down upon the Pthumerians as a punishment for having bastard children without the consent of a Great One. The only Great One in the game that has any kind of Authority in this area is the MP -- it has the power to decide when all of the other Great Ones can reproduce. Therefore, the MP is the most logical Great One to get butthurt about this. Again, which corroborates the fact that the Scourge goes absolutely nuts whenever the MP draws close.

The Scourge is transmitted via the Blood in the first place because it's carried via Vermin
>inb4 Vermin aren't real
>inb4 Vermin aren't the roots of man's impurity despite this being explicitly stated in their description
>>
>>148083227
Fair enough, that makes sense. Maybe Great Ones want their own children but want to make sure others don't get to have one?
>>
>>148083698

>>148083830
>Use to gain Insight and, so they say, eyes on the inside, although no one remembers what that truly entails -- One Third of Umbilical Cord
>although on one remembers what that truly entails
>although no one remembers
it's right there, people have forgotten how to use the damn things. Furthermore, the JP description of the cord you get off of Mergo says that the Cord ISN'T Mergo's umbilical cord, it was some random Cord that the Mensis had lying around. Instead of eating it, they poked around at it in experiments and accidentally summoned Mergo.

>>148084310
If Iosefka had used a cord on herself for eyes, it would have been consumed and therefore not usable by the player. That shit was planted in her by a Great One
>>
>>148084153
>it has the power to decide when all of the other Great Ones can reproduce

Where can we draw this conclusion from?
>>
>>148084467
Maybe because the big slimy cunt sends a death squad after you and your kid if you do?
>>
>>148084310

>>
>>148084467
>when the Red Moon hangs low, the line between man and beast is blurred. And when the Great Ones descend, a womb will be blessed with a child

the other Great Ones only descend AFTER the MP does. This is corroborated by the fact that bitches don't get knocked up in-game until AFTER the Red Moon drops
>>
>>148084153
I think you're stretching a bit. We know people turn to beasts because of the old, bad Great One blood found below the city. That doesn't necessarily mean that MP is controlling that, it may just be the presence of MP is intensifying the transformations into more horrifying and numerous beasts. Beckoning the MP can cause more and more people to turn but not because it's making it happen, it's just the effect it has on people who have been exposed to the blood.
>>
>>148084623
If every Great One loses a child and yearns for a surrogate then it might just be simple jealousy making them try and kill one another's children. There doesn't seem to be anything that suggests other Great Ones don't try and kill their compatriots' children.

>>148084712
Being a harbinger doesn't necessarily make you a leader.
>>
>>148084763
and why aren't you questioning why the MP and only the MP has this weird effect whereby it's presence sends the scourge into overdrive? why aren't you questioning why the two have such a close relationship, among all of the cosmic entities in the game? why isn't that registering "this might be evidence of a causal relationship" signals in your head?

>>
>>148085000
Nothing suggests they do either. We meet almost every single Great One during the game and they're all just chilling doing their own thing besides One Reborn (who is created by Micolash and company from random kidnapped victim's body parts in order to take over the world) and MP himself.

Speaking of One Reborn, did Micolash only pull off the initial ritual stuff recently? Because the kidnappers were active until the middle of the night, and they're explicitly carrying out his will to kidnap people to pull off the ritual to begin with. Can he communicate with people outside of the nightmare to organize something like that, or did he himself only enter it that night?
>>
>>148085000
>Being a harbinger doesn't necessarily make you a leader.
it's certainly plausible, considering that there are Great Ones like Oedon who are literally omnipresent, and could do whatever they wanted at any time if there wasn't someone holding them back. If the Blood Moon wasn't a stop/go signal, why wait? You exist only in voice and are inhabiting these women's bodies in every second of every day
>>
>>148085416
the One Reborn is not a Great One, that was a failed experiment

>did Micolash only pull off the initial ritual stuff recently
it's implied that the Ritual has been in preparation for a long-ass time, since the Yahargul set mentions that kidnappers have been around for a while. What you see in-game was probably the equivalent of last-minute prep

>did he himself only enter it that night
he entered the Nightmare a long ass time ago, and so did the dozens of people who went with him. Try and count how many mummified cage heads are around Yahargul, along with Micolash

In a game full of holes and unexplained situations.

Looking at the evidence, you simply do not have enough to prove what you're stating. It seems to be on way but, once again, no hard evidence. How do I dodge the charge attack Ebrietas does? It hits me no matter what direction I dodge and it take ~66% of my health. If she didn't have that attack, this fight would be a cakewalk.

You can say that again.

Can you perform a visceral on her? Sometimes she'll drop her head after I do a decent chunk of DPS but it won't do the visceral on her. Is it just not a thing with her?

You'd think that a game that gets as much praise as bloodborne would have a slightly more active community. What I mean is, even dark souls one (on PS3) is more active than this game. Maybe it's the matchmaking type, idk
>>
>>148102659
I think the reason invasions are kind of scarce is because of how they work on Bloodborne. You need to have a bell ringing woman in your world which doesn't really happen a lot unless you're ringing your own bells.
>>
>>148102234
If it's not too late, I can join in for more jolly co-op.

>>
Hello, /bbg/. A huge From fan here; or at least I consider myself such, since Demon's Souls released in EU. I finally managed to find the time to go and buy myself a ps4 after months of anticipation and mad hype. Truth be told I was so excited about this game that I actually felt like a child for the whole duration of the wait. Counting each day, one week after another, until I finally bought the console (and desu I only got it because of the Bloodborne machine). Now that I have it waiting for me at home (gonna' be taking 2 days off, once I finish today's work, with a fat stack of weed in my pocket to fully enjoy it for as much as I can) with the DLC installed and everything...

Man... I played the game for a bit. Managed to defeat the Cleric beast and Gascoigne on my first try and I loved both fights. Died like at least 10 times to the mobs in the square before the boss fights, but had no issues with the actual bosses, which is interesting. Rocking the spear, so far and liking it's moveset a lot. It is true that I got some of the game and gameplay spoilered because of Marcus' Yharnam FM, but playing the game feels so much different than just watching it. And the game is just even more amazing than I thought it is. Also the levels are so amazing to explore and I genuinely feel lost when I do explore them, which is an amazing feeling.

Also, dat everything. Also, Kosm not Kos.

Also if anyone wants to add me on my PS4 for shit and giggles my PSN ID is Deadnymps, I think.
>>
>>148107198
Glad you're having fun, anon. Just a head's up, the online is pretty dead but /bbg/ always has people ready to co-op or get duels going so post in here if you want to hang.
>>
>>148106471
By bell do you mean Old Hunters Bell?

Because that wasn't part of the DLC it, NPC summons and The League covenant were added in a free update about a week before the DLC. The eye of a Blooddrunk Hunter only appears once you have payed for The Old Hunters expansion.

>>148124631
Do a quality build, start Military Vetern and try out as many weapons as you can, upgrade everything you want to +6, since those mats are piss-easy to get, and then start being more picky with upgrades and leveling late game.

Ignore BLT and ARC for your first playthrough, except leveling them high enough to try them out and plan future builds. They require rushing certain areas early and some farming on Arc builds, do a blind first playthrough and stick to whatever you find and want to use, then make optimised builds for later playthroughs.

Executioner's Gloves + Accursed Brew basically destroys him for you if you're running an arcane build.

My favourite time fighting him was with the Kos Parasite because once you get a visceral in and wait for both your visceral animation and AMy's recovery animation to stop you can L2 the fuck out of him.
Church Pick and wheel also fuck him up a lot but his heaad needs to be down for the wheel a lot of the time, I just waited till he flopped on the ground and then L2 spun the wheel and ran into him for an attack.

assuming you prefer dealing heavy damage in single strikes

> start with the Hunter's Axe and the Blunderbuss
> invest in STR and VIT, with at least fifteen points in ARC to toy around with some Hunter Tools and only as much SKL and BLT as is required to use a weapon
> obtain the Kirkhammer (keep it tricked) and Stake Driver
> as soon as you unlock the DLC, rush for the Boom Hammer and Beast Cutter
> if you're pretty gud, unlock the Piercing Rifle and Gatling Gun while you're at it
> get Logarius' Wheel through any means necessary, especially if you invest more in ARC (do)

Away with the meme fungus. Willem is a mushroom because of Insight. He's barely human anymore. Insight gives you eyes on the inside and eventually starts mutating you. What do you think Brainsuckers are?

>Possibly this was done by Rom in order to stop him from revealing where she is???

He points you to the location from which he is only sitting a few feet away from. Anyway, Rom is vacuous, empty, mindless. She exists essentially as a living spell to hide the Mensis ritual.

At the very least, it's responsible for the apocalypse-tier event we witness. Nights of the hunt are when a few beasts get loose in the city because some blood-drunkard chucklefuck can't retain his humanity, so the church gets some lads together and they deal with it. Blood and beasts are the norm in Yharnam, read the Church Pick description, it's a weapon portrayed in old beast hunting legends.

The Moon Presence, as a Great One, has a deep, intrinsic connectiont to the beast scourge. The Old Blood itself is either from Ebrietas, Queen Yharnam or Bloodletting Beast, although the latter makes little sense to me.

Why did From have to ruin Fishing Hamlet, which is possibly the most hauntingly atmospheric area in the game, with shitty, complete bullshit enemy encounters?

The part with the homing skull magic with the giant fishman is completely unjustifiable. You're forced to blindly rush the magic but then get jumped on by the giant fishfuck which would stagger you leaving you to get hit by magic. Afterwareds you realise that you're supposed to take the small path to the left where you can drop down to the previous open area, but there's no way of knowing this beforehand because the path is tucked away from sight when you first approach the encounter. I know rushing a ranged enemy while expecting an ambush is a staple game design but this particular one is so poorly thought out.

>The Moon Presence, as a Great One, has a deep, intrinsic connectiont to the beast scourge. The Old Blood itself is either from Ebrietas, Queen Yharnam or Bloodletting Beast, although the latter makes little sense to me.

>Ebrietas

no. the healing church already had blood before that. The Choir was formed later in the Healing Church's days, and they are the ones who discovered both the Isz chalice and Ebrietas.

>Queen Yharnam

no. the blood of queen yharnam is vileblood, and is forbidden.

>Bloodletting Beast

possibly. many theorise the Bloodletting Beast is a Blood Saint that eventually became a beast.

But where did the blood come from that was cultivated within the Blood Saints, eh?

Great chalices unlock deeper reaches of the labyrinth. The Great Isz Chalice became the cornerstone of the Choir, the elite delegation of the Healing Church

It was also the first Great Chalice brought back to the surface since the time of Byrgenwerth, and allowed the Choir to have audience with Ebrietas."

>>Moon "Presence" is meant to be taken much more literally and might imply that the presence of this great one is what is causing all the madness/turning into beasts
Not taking it literally enough, the Moon Presence is what its stated to be, just a presence, a personification of the madness and beasts of the night and the hunt.

When Mensis is beckoning the great ones they actually beckon down the moon as seen when the moon comes down in the cutscene after Rom.

"Behold a Pale blood sky" actually refers to the moon.

Basically the moon is a great one and we only killed the essence or madness the moon conveys, since the moon is the source of the beast scourge.

the 'forbidden blood' that was taken to Cainhurst was a sample of Queen Yharnam's own.

Annalise is essentially riffing off Queen Yharnam, desiring to conceive a child of blood. When both are slain, they leave behind a either writhing lump of flesh, or in the case of Queen Yharnam, a nasty stone. Both have the same properties, implying that either queen isn't actually dead.

The parallel drawn between the two, and their final states, seems like more than enough evidence, to me, that the 'forbidden blood' given to Cainhurst was some of Queen Yharnam's.

Then there's Maria's use of (a Cainhurst relation,) blood attacks, which recalls Queen Yharnam's attack patterns.

More tenuously, some people also theorise that Arianna is a distant Cainhurst relation, which, if true, would mean that her blood, 'similar to that which was forbidden', is also sourced from the same Queen Yharnam Vileblood samples given to Cainhurst.

The only problem with this is that lump of flesh IS Annalise. Alfred literally just mashed her into pulp, the stuff on her throne IS her. It pulses because she's not strictly human and immortal.

And the stone left behind from Queen Yharnam is the calcified fetus of her dead child.

The blood attacks I can buy, but not those above.

End of the day both Annalise and Yharnam are undying queens with babies on the brain, with mastery over blood and fire inherit in their lines, served by the lost children of antiquity. They're relation is pretty clearly inferred, the corruption oath rune depicts the bloodstain on Yharnam's bridal gown.

Mastery over blood and fire is fucking dime a dozen in Bloodborne, everyone's got that. What's rare or distinctive would be mastery over cheese or meringue. You can't exactly make a solid connection with that. Same with the babies, even the Great Old Ones want babies all over the place.
>>
>>148144753
Who else besides Vileblood lineage has mastery over blood and fire, buddy? Maria, Annalise, and Yharnam are the only ones that explicitely use blood magic.
>>
>>148120894
Gascoigne and Maria do that.
But Gehrman tries his best, Ludwig and you chit chat, and Simon talks to you a lot, even asks you questions. Djura's kind of a fuckboy who can't hold a conversation very well, but you and Alfred are implied to speak regularly, and Eileen is cordial enough.

Descendant/Elder are Pthumerians like Yharnam, so they're obviously going to have some dominion over blood/fire.
Keepers/Watchdog are given power by the Pthumerians (not sure about Hotdog, but I'm 90% sure the Keepers were given their abilities by the Pthumerians.
The only one I can't explain at all is Laurence.

If you're trying to draw some correlation between fire attacks being related to blood magic, I can still see Laurence deriving his abilities from that (I'm not saying he did, I'm saying I could see it). Either BLT or ARC really, and both fit Laurence pretty well.

You'll keep the rights to it

As a struggling writer myself, I can tell you you need to read up on rights and publishing as much as you can. Magazines will ask for exclusive rights for a certain length of time and that's a binding contract if you get paid for it. You can risk anything from your story being taken to a law suit if you fuck up. Online publishing a fucking mess these days, word of advice, if you want to publish it in someone's magazine, don't ever post it to a blog or forum or anything because to them, that counts it having been published already and publishers don't like that. They will almost always ONLY take never before published material.

It's a thing i have really.I would atleast like to have a couple pages with deciptions of the characters places or creatures in the story to create a proper image in the readers head.
>>
>>148155334
Oh jeez, I hope I catch you later mane
>>
>>148155396
That may just be my opinion, but generally in lovecraftianstories it's better to leave things vaguely described.
>>
>>148155298
Sorry fellas. I'll be back soon.

>>148155325
I've been writing this shit for 4 years and never posted it on anywhere. Thats good i guess. Not even the characters name places the plot anything. Because something similiar happened before that i told my ''friend'' a story i've been working on and fucker just stole it posted on the internet and made it into shitty fucking creepypasta.
>>
>>148155396
The wonderful thing about a book is everybody imagines something differently. Just describe everything the best you can, the reader will make it out

Well i don't know. I've always been fascinated by visuals and some animations i've watched on my youth completely blew my mind. And i just wanted the story to be accompanied by visuals.
A lot of people suggested me to make a manga out of this but again i can't fucking draw. But i do it would also be nice but it would have walls of text which does not fit to a manga.
>>
>>148155638
Best thing you can do with a novel length work like yours is approach smaller publishers or even look into self publishing, and you have physical or electronic publishing (the latter is way easier), do the marketing yourself vi Facebook and Twitter. It's certainly possible.

Some people have been doing audio readings of their novels and releasing it as a podcast.

Depends on how challenging you want it to be. You can feasibly git gud and do it as early as level 50-60 but for first timers it's generally best to wait until late/endgame, sometime after Rom around level 70-80. You'll gain access to the DLC areas fairly early so you can continually test yourself against it to see what works best for you. You can also do some suicide runs in the first area if you want to grab some of the new weapons to try out.

Depends how far your are into the game.

If it's available to you, the optimum farming spots are the Lecture Hall first floor room with slime students, Hypogean Gaol's two snatchers and pigs and Nightmare of Mensis middle loft. Equip as many Moon Runes as you have and you'll be drowning in echoes in no time.

Early, early game, best thing you can do is just run through Central Yharnam.

Go back through the Cathedral Ward, find the little alleyway down to where the whore is, talk to the windows with red lanterns, get the Tonsil Stone then go around to where you fight the two hunters to the right of the cathedral itself. If I'm attempting to grind for gems, shouldn't I just get the one from Ebritas then make itinto a depth 5 CRF and proceed to use recommended glyphs? I am under the impression that if I make a CRF Isz that I'll also be able to search for glyphs for a CRF Ihyll at no cost.

>>
what's the point of giving guns like the Blunderbuss actual stocks, if the Hunters just use them one-handed?
>>
>>148188764
Regular ass bitch nigga Yharnamites conscripted into hunts need the stocks
>>
>>148188847
I don't think the Blunderbuss/Ludwig's Rifle were designed with Yharnam normies in mind, they've all got their (surprisingly powerful) rifles
>you can't ever use normal Yharnamite rifles
reee
>>
>>148189021
this is unsettling. maybe Yharnam normies just gouged their BLT stat.
>>
So /bbg/ I'm just about at the meme meta. I'm at level 92, what should I pump to hit 98? My stats are:

40/15/50/12/5/20
>>
>>148189163
they're all using BMA on their weapons, that's why they're so powerful. Why else do you think they drop it?
>>
>>148188764
counter weight, it keeps the weapon balanced in your hand

>create absurdly forward-heavy gun
>try and aim it
"no"
>>
>>148189163
It makes sense, why the fuck would a normie wanna get up close to the beasts? Pump that BLT use that fucking rifle with some BMA and get killing
>>
>>148189398
how can they level anything if they aren't Dreaming?
>>
>>148189524
I don't know, ask the fuckin yharnamites
>>
You know, it's really not that bad going blood-addled, when you get used to it. 7/10 experience honestly
>>
can someone explain to me the lore behind the Witches of Hemwick? what the fuck are they and their followers doing, and why?
>>
>>148190662
Hemwick Charnel Lane used to be a giant graveyard, the witches were tenders of the graveyard. Basically, they collect eyes. Can't remember.

Also, take a look at the pebble icon when you pick one up. Look like anything? They're eyes.
>>
>>148068339

Why is he so perfect?
>>
>>148184941
Aye, we had some trouble with the single street shark by the lighthouse, and a bit more with the Orphan, but me and the other guy got through just alright. Appreciate the help up to that point.
>>
So why is Bloodletting Beast headless with a centipede in his stump? Do you just wreck him so bad the first time?
>>
>>148192130
He's got a parasite.
>>
Is the Stake Driver viable at all on a pure Strength build?

Anyone wanna run through Cainhurst with me? Pass is bbg
>>
>>148192987
yeah i'll be there
>>
>>148193182
Alright give me a minute I'll be away from the ps4
>>
>>148192987
I'll come if you've yet to start, love Cainhurst. Any excuse to fight Logarius again is a good one
>>
Yharnam is the last chalice dungeon boss (besides grinding the optional ones), right?
>>
>>148193939
Essentially, yeah. Unless you decide to do Isz or Lower Loran after Yharnam, then she should be the final CD boss
>>
>>148172495
Alright, I bought the DLC and went through a few parts. Ended beating Amygdala with a DLC weapon, the Beast Cutter. It's R2 did a shitton of damage and sliced through him like butter.

Now I have 96 insight, I don't know if that is too much or I should get it as high as possible.
>>
>>148193361
>>148193182
You guys underway?
>>
>>148194150
I did both of those already. Guess I finished all of them!

Also, how the ever loving fuck do you parry Gehrman? I shot all 20 bullets and never got a single parry. (I still killed him so I have to wait until another playthrough to get it right).
>>
>>148192987
lmao, mind the edge
>>
My bad, I cannot believe I just fell off that platform, shit was going so well and I fucked it up
>>
>>148194973
oh well. i got a lot of bloodechoes from that.
i also haven't toured cainhurst castle in a long time.
>>
>>148194456
Beast cutter is a fantastic weapon for amy.

It really only shows you a few things you wouldn't see otherwise, and a few you would eventually. You might as well spend it at the shop
>>
Sorry Richard someone else joined
>>
>>148194456
Insight is generally bad to have in large quantities because it reduces Frenzy Resistance.

But after you beat a certain boss you can buy Bloodrocks for 60, so don't throw it away yet, use the Rune and Ashen Hunter set to deal with Frenzy for the time being.
>>
>>148195234
it's all good. i went back to invading different areas anyway.
>>
I've got a character who needs to kill Logarius as well.

Password is WHEEL and I'll be ringing at First lamp.

>fighting gherman
>go blunderbuss shot to visceral
>all pellets go right through him, despite being about 50cm away
>die
>this only ever happened against gherm
why in the fuck does a shotgun of all things miss close up?
>>
That was laggy as fuck, parried him repeatedly.
>>
>>148195652
I'm the guy a few posts above, he seems damn near impossible to parry. I could not get a single shot to work. 2fast4me I guess.
>>
>>148195664
Sorry I was so timid, I never recovered my 60,000 blood echoes and didn't want to die, I'll get them back and ring again
>>
>>148170668
Best Annalise artwork
>>
>>148195809
i can consistently parry him assuming the damn shot doesn't decide to not exist, it's really a problem when he does the big windup attack that murders you
>>
>>148195652
>>148195809
You need to shoot him just before his attack is loosed, not as he's starting up. Even when he's charging it'll only work late.
>>
>>148196006
my problem isn't the timing, i've got that down no problem, the problem is the blunderbuss shots just refusing to hit him
even a fucked up parry does damage
>>
Hey girl who's name began with a C (can't remember what is was) are you still helping with Logarius?
>>
>>148196342
Then your timing is off because if it was on point, he'd stagger.
>>
>>148196425
he's not taking damage from a missed shot though
>>
>>148194842
His timing is weird compared to most other parries.

You can only parry his long scythe form at least when he's actually mid-swing, his windups have insane armor.

His small blade form is absolute piss easy tier to parry though considering he swings it like an idiot and it's almost always parryable.
>>
>>148196585
>His small blade form is absolute piss easy tier to parry
Well I feel like an idiot.

To be fair to myself, by the time he pulled that out I was annoyed and just jammed my sword into his face until he died.
>>
There we go, must better. I'm still calling BS on that lag but we got him.

>>148195418
Can still do if you're interested.
>>
Thanks everyone that helped with Cainhurst! You guys pretty much escorted me through there.
>>
>>148196485
Why would he?
>>
>>148197131
Nah I got bored and did it myself.

>>148196485
That's because the Blunderbuss has a weird thing where it's pellets don't actually appear out of the barrel, at point blank range the bullets will sometimes come into existance through and enemy. It's really annoying.
>>
>>148197440
well that explains it, goddamnit

>>148197237
because something is hitting him?
>>
>>148197536
>he's not taking damage from a missed shot though

>Pretty sure the first boss is always the one shown in the trailer AKA Werewolf on bridge
>Am fucking lost in this god forsaken town that looks the same everywhere
>Finally a fog boss gate
>It's Father Gascione

Fuck did I just skip shit or what, I got him to werewolf but I haven't even upgrade shit or leveled up at all
>>
>>148197598
a fucked up parry is hitting him, the "timing was off" post assumes the shots hit him
>>
>>148197652
The big werewolf is an optional boss nearby with no fog.
>>
>>148197652
fag
>>
>>148197652
Cleric Beast (the Werewolf on the bridge) is optional. Gascoigne is pussy shit if you can parry him and use molotovs/music box in the final phase.
>>
>>148197737
>missed shots
>hitting him

Okay.
