It's probably because they have insane mobility and damage to boot, so unless you're something with mobility or they fuck up you can't do something about them.
An assassin can delete a squishy and nullify all the hard work that led up to that point in a matter of seconds, and you only have "yourself to blame" because you made that one mistake that costed you your life while they'll most likely get away scott free because of their mobility. And it's not like you were in any danger, but it's because the danger zone (muh auto spacing) that an adc or a control mage has is usually different (i.e. I'm safe behind my minions so thresh won't hook me or ahri q has a range of x so if I dodge that like this I'm good).

Doing a shitton of damage and mobility always gives a high risk/high reward thing that usually attracts the worst kinds of people (aka the >ribbon maynes or the >yasuo mains), so you usually end up hating certain high mobility champions because they attract the same kind of people.

Vlad is not really that amazing, especially in solo queue his performance ever since his rework has been abysmal. He only hit above 50% winrate at challenger even in masters he was still at 48%.

Swain also lost a ton of control that he had by the cooldown nerf on his ult, it hit really hard he's still viable mid but behind other mid laners. His top still has some good matchups, if you're maining trundle you should bann him.

Gangplank is overall still the number 1 top in my opinion since he's everywhere on the map and his playstyle knows no real counter. He will passively farm you can't get to him with anything else than Irelia because he has movement speed boost from afk farming / pushing. He has always more potential to be more useful than you get more kills and assists with his ults and be more impactful.

Its one rework I really dislike because Riot just made a champion that has no real counterplay at all. On top of that it is really boring to lane against as well because its an afk farm lane where you'll always be losing since you will likely get pushed under the tower and if you try to control it GP can go in for some harass (because GP can be a lane bully as well although often focussing on farm is much better).
