No. High impact fusions are terrible DPS. Their main use is getting the 2 shot on their respected shield target enemies. Of these, minotars are low priority since they are easiest to kill of the high tier enemies, and engaging a taken wizard with a fusion rifle isn't the best idea.
The extreme tracking on necromantic gaze means you ideally want to engage them from long range with a sniper or a quick kill with a good shotgun.

Truth is that hardly anyone does serious trials runs anymore.
If it was year 1 you wouldn't have an issue finding a group to get to the lighthouse with, but in year 2 it seems not many people enjoy this games PvP as they did in Year 1.
Am I speaking for myself? Yes but there are also others that feel the same way.

I've gone Lighthouse with each of my characters once during the first month of trials, I've dealt with final round shitters and thorn shitters (Latter of which I was myself)
I've gotten total of 3 Adept Summoners (One for each element, which I still keep for whatever fucking reason) 3 fucking copies of that god damn eye emblem, 0 [ZERO] zero fucking shaders. And said I'm done with this shit.
Would I like to partake again? Yes. Would I like to partake again in this crucible? Fuck no. I would love more than anything to get the new shader and emblem, but ultimately I just can't deal with it, with current matchmaking every match is so sweaty and stressful now, and replacing tiered offerings with bounties is/was horrible idea in my eyes, because it took what little certainty I enjoyed in Trials and replaced it with RNG entirely, so they managed to fuck up the matches and rewards with me, because now I couldn't buy anything at all any more, and had to rely on luck to get anything (First and last try I've had in Trials Y2 was two weeks ago, I've gotten one blue engram from both Silver and Gold bounties) There is just nothing appealing in modern day Trials for anyone that isn't planing on Lighthouse or Scarab farming, at least in my opinion.

People thought Suros was the best, but in reality it was just the easiest to use. There is no counter argument that hidden hand high impact high AA snipers are the best weapon right now. They are.
