Just do any last minute stuff before the prepatch hits that'll either be removed or made more difficult. CMs, Moose, etc... and have your gameplan ready for Legion. Start doing research on professions and run Cata raids in the meantime for about 7-8K gold per lockout per character.

Depends entirely on what you want to do with him and what other classes/professions you do or don't already have.

If you just want to craft some WoD stuff for gear then get leatherworking. If you want to go out into the world and farm for gold then tailoring/enchanting are the best, though hunters aren't all that good at farming mobs.

It really doesn't matter that much at the end of the day though.

Would someone mind explaining to me the difference in hunter pet specs? I get one is the tank one, but then there are two dps specs.
Additionally, does actual pet matter past spirit beast stuff? Like I said, I'm stupid but most of the info i find has sprinklings of out-dated stuff in it as well and a lot of "choose what pet you like!"

haha, i got that much at least from the tooltips. Sorry, i meant the actual PET specs. I see one is tanking (so i grabbed a turtle right away to do that, but i'm thinking now it doesn't matter what pet i use). The other two pet specs are dps but it was unclear to me what the actual differences in them were -- or is it literally just the abilities it lists? if that's the case i can stfu and just figure it out.
