Which I think works. Having said that from about level 10 onwards I have been able to use it nonstop and always find more cores than I need.

They could have made the repair costs higher though. or perhaps had the amount you can repair the sets tied to the armourer perk. With the lesser sets you can fully repair with just some steel and you're good to go.

according to the lore, the early suits such as the T-45a and b series did, in fact, have fusion cores. but were replaced because they burned through them at an alarming rate.

they were replaced with micro fusion packs built into the armour.

There are suits that exist that have those power sources. I think that what we use are all alpha production models that were first modeled on the T-45's frame before they figured out what it is that they intended to do.

The exoskeletons are the thing that every PA shares in common, and the Exoskeleton is the thing that takes FC's.
As such, it's easy to believe that in the CW there were an excess bulk of T-60 Exoskeletons (FO4 exclusive, takes FC's only) and those were used to build the bases.
Alternatively because you know, logistics, all power armors shared the same exoskeleton that took FC's and it had just entered production 4 months before the war.
So... Speculation it is?

How can you possibly explain it any other way? Vault 13 has 8 beds because a) They can't accurately detail every single area in the game, and b) Why even bother detailing every single area in the game, you would come across hundreds and hundreds of bedrooms.

As I mentioned, every single Power Armor you come across in Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas could be logically well fueled (or at least New Vegas', given Obsidian pays attention to details). Some things aren't needed to be shown, unless for a specific purpose. It's conservation of detail. If there was a refueling mechanic in Fallout, then we should be able to see mechanics working on Power Armor, and viceversa, otherwise it's pointless to show it.

Do you know how science even works? They didn't need to let Power Armor run for 100 years to see if it could last that long, they just advertised it that way based on evidence (or not).

The point is that power armor is used when it needs to be used. And recharged when it needs to be recharged. And only the Brotherhood of Steel, so far, has been shown to use power armor. And because it is an active organization, power armor is actively used and refueled. And because of that, it makes perfect sense that every power armor I come across, unless found in the middle of outlandish circumstances (case in point, finding a Power Armor lost to the world for 200 years), perfectly works and has fuel.

Call it "lore" if you want to, it doesn't change the fact that Power Armor, for the first time ever in a Fallout game, is handed to the player extremely early on. It was advertised as the next big thing, and it was to be expected that Power Armor is the most emphasized piece of equipment in the game, with paint jobs, power armor building (are you gonna claim that power armor is very easy to work with?) and so on, when in every other game except Fallout 3 power armor was very out of the way: BoS was lategame material for Fallout 1, and New Vegas' BoS was very well hidden, whereas Fallout 3 had power armor IN YOUR FACE and had you use a Fat Man to fight a giant mutant.

The fussion cores are there to nerf it while allowing the player to play with it. How you can still be trying to make some sense into it is laughable, because you basically think Bethesda actually tackled the issue from a lore point of view and not from a "okay, we need to nerf these beauties".

Not him, but its explicitly stated in Fallout 3 that
A. Every major city such as Megaton, Rivet city, and Tenpenny Tower have functioning water purifiers

B. These purifiers can't produce a whole lot of clean water due to unusually aggressive radiation in the region

The lack of large scale water purification in Fallout 3 was point blank said to be a regional problem.

Like how the Pitt has a regional problem of highly radioactive water mixed in with pre-war factory chemicals resulting in Trogg syndrome and a literally glowing river that gives off thousands of rads a second

honestly it all depends on how you play. like all fallout and TES games, difficulty is bound by you. if you use a powerful modded weapon, or your best weapons, or damage perks, or drugs, or VATS, or sneak crits, or any other number of factors...

in my game, I can use an HMG and shred a mythic. or I can use a gauss rifle and have to constantly run away and dink away at him unless I get headshots, and even then he can take some.

These meshes look kinda messy in nifskope. I've tried facing the normals but that doesnt seem to help anything. I think I need to "clean" the nif up. Not really sure the process behind it, Nifskope / Blender etc typically have magic butans that auto clean nifs but I'm not sure what they're called.

Is there a way to reach the provisioners you send from Fahabba to the Commonwealth? I used the mod that mark your provisioners locations and they are out of the map and can't find them in neither of the maps.

I dunno man. I used to spend hours in Skyrim/TESIV using just my mouse to position things like weapons, bowls of gems, and random clutter through my bases, I would always make an armory in FO3/NV. Just seemed like Settlement building finally allowed me to make the little flavor things I wanted.

I'm guessing this is from Darker Nights; fwiw I have the darkest setting on with no adjustment for NPC detection abilities, and everything seems to work just fine.

No, it's definitely a bug/intended behavior/engine-level fuckery: even compiling the vanilla source for that workshop script triggered the issue. If this were prep work for content in the pipe, it wouldn't be affecting Bethesda's own scripts. The UFO4P members seems to think that it is probably underlying engine behavior that only became apparent by coincidence, and that seems accurate.

Incidents of this bug predate go back months (albeit less commonly) and there is no way in hell Bethesda has that sort of far-looking planning with shit like this. Even if they did, there would be no reason to arbitrarily discriminate against certain scripts just because they were not compiled in-house, which is especially the case with them pushing console mods so hard. My guess is that Bethesda will at least look at this pretty soon. What with them needing to put some more work in to get PS4 mods working anyway, fundamental compatibility problems will be something that they want to avoid, especially with such a high-profile mod as the unofficial patch.

The relay can send people without a chip, otherwise you'd have never got in in the first place, it's just easier with one.
