All submissions have been frozen since last September, and are not being processed chronologically, but rather "at Niantic's discretion" because Niantic decided they wanted to focus on "rural regions".

When entering a Gym, if another player from your team enters at the same time, the two players will fight the Pokemon together. This makes it much easier to stay in control of the battle and win Gyms without going through your whole lineup of fighters.

Locations of stops & gyms are based on Niantics previous game, Ingress. You can't add any new locations.

Pokemon of the same species have the same stats at a certain cp level. There might be a slight difference between xs/normal/xl, not yet confirmed.

Movesets change between evolutions, so it's better to evolve one before pumping in dust, which is the hardest to collect.

If you have a pokemon in a gym (don't need to be leader) you can collect coins and dust every 21 hours, by tapping on the topright button in the shop. 10 coins 500 dust per gym you have a pokemon in, with a maximum of 100/5000 (you can own more but they are just a buffer for if you lose one).

Eggs won't count steps if you move over ~30kph (20mph). Higher km eggs can hatch more rare pokemon, but also any from lower eggs (my first 10km egg just hatched into eevee).

Otherwise, it's a matter of knowing how to trade gyms quickly, and train for exp. Catching new pokemon and hatching eggs is part of it, but those take a fair bit more time. Well the latter anyways. Sat at a stop doing work on my laptop, collecting pokeballs for a while. People kept using lures since it was a coffeshop, so caught all the pidgeys, rattattas, and other trash.

Saved them until I could evo like 20, popped a lucky egg, and evoed them all. Every evo is 500 normally, 1000 with an egg.

2) Hatch all eggs you get
3) If you have limited pokeballs/live far from pokestops, only catch duplicates of extremely common pokemon. Sell some of the duplicates and mass evolve the ones left (you can sell them after evolving as well).
4) Don't use incense until you are at least level 7
5) Don't use candies to power up either, just focus on evolving

I think this is the best way to grind levels if you live far from gyms and pokestops.

The fact that server crashes have been so frequent since the game had been released makes me doubt that they have a solid plan in line to quickly expand the functionality of the game.

The base foundation of the game is great, but if they don't add trading and good PVP within the very near future, it's gonna become boring super quick.

So how do gym battles work? I've put a pokemon into nearby gym, collected reward later, tried to train (I think, there was the only option really), just got stuck into endless loading screen. Today I no longer get defender reward so I assume someone captured it? I'm so lost, I'm used to Ingress giving announcements when your portal is attacked.

Theres some cheese grinding with eggs. For example, focus on catching just shitloads and shitloads of pidgys/ratatas, but never use any of the candy. Then, when you can evolve like 20 of them, pop the egg first, then every single one that you evolve into a pigeotto / raticate gives 1000 XP. Once you've boosted the shit out of your trainer level, getting 1000 CP pokem isn't very hard.
