90% of the community used the quickplay button. This is 2016, nobody knows what custom servers are if they didn't play on them in the past. They are not advertised, not even now. This means that for all the casual players there is now a massive penalty for doing something you could do freely as many times as you wanted. In the eyes of casuals the game is now unfun and completely ruined because they can't just jump around servers and play the game. This is made even worse by (again, in casuals' eyes) forced 24 player servers rather than their 32-player shit festivals.

Competitive mode is also ruined because three demomen and three medics can end the game in twelve seconds. So even if you are somehow a casual who thinks you are good enough to individually compete with others, you are completely wrong because skill means far less in a competitive TF2 environment than team composition. Four entire classes are completely worthless in this mode, two of whom have about 3 each in casual servers at any given time.

The game is fucking murdered unless Valve gets off their asses and fixes this penalty bullshit and new UI as soon as possible. Given their track record regarding work ethic this is unlikely to happen, so I hope your anus is all lubed up for Blizzard's circumcized money dick.

these are servers that, just two days ago, would not go above 12 unless it was a weekend night

First they killed community servers, now they kill valve pubs so you're forced to play on community servers if you want to be able to play the fucking game whenever you want without being punished for leaving, but it's too late because all the good servers are dead and it's just the same old skial pay2win shit.
Are they deliberately trying to kill this game faster than it's already dying? Why should I come back when Overwatch is objectively better after this?

Yeah, but Dota 2 (and Overwatch to some extent) are more teamwork-focused and were designed to be played with two small, balanced teams working towards a goal, and if even one of them leaves the team is instantly at a disadvantage.

This is not the case for TF2, which was made so that any two teams with anywhere between 5 to 16 players could play casually on a server with no catches, no rewards, just fun. If someone leaves it's no big deal.

They've literally fucked the primary game mode. When you click the little button the play the game you aren't allowed to drop in and out like before and instead can be punished. This makes sense for a competitive gamemode where you are ranked, but adding it to "CASUAL" is frustrating to the entire playerbase. Being locked out of a game for 20 mins at a time is the opposite of fun.
