There's a Warcraft EU4 mod out there (which is what gave me the idea in the first place) and they've done a pretty good job of transferring the universe in the game's mechanics.

If you like combat, get 96 herb, summ, and 95 prayer. You can buy the supplies now and wait for double xp in a few months if you want to conserve your cash stack. Use gwd2 range/mage until you have the money for t90 in those styles. Once you have those you can move onto armor/misc items.

They're made of extremes, and torstol.
The extremes are also untradable so you have to make them yourself, if you start at level 88 and make around 2500 of each type of extreme then use the god emissaries banner to boost you can get 97ish herby easy.
It's expensive as fuck, but it means you won't run out of overloads for bossing almost ever.

I'd focus on getting combat up, especially prayer and summon.
You will need money for a lot of things.
Farming is pretty useful, and profitable if you do herb runs
Runecrafting can also be good for money, but is a real soulsucker. Nats and astrals are the profitable ones, or at least they were.
It's been a long time since I was low leveled, so I'm not all too sure about anything more than that.
Also make sure to do quests, they are actually useful, and fun.
