I had Pokemon Red as a kid, and I played it on a GBC, so it always had the red tint to it. Now I wouldn't mind picking up Red on the 3DS for the nostalgia factor, but will it have the same red tint, or will it be purely in black and white?

New 3DS XL for $180, should I grab it? I haven't touched a nintendo product since the DS Lite, I'm mainly looking to play pokemon, zelda and smash bros, hopefully online.

Cautiously optimistic about Litten and Banditmander. Seal isn't great but I hope it looks a lot better as it evolves. The only things I actually dislike is Pikaball and Diancie 2: gear boogaloo. Electric guy loses one point for having such a shitty ability on such a cool Pokemon, and I'm just not certain about Voltron but I'm leaning towards "I like it."

N64 virtual console games are the best, and they usually run a lot better without (too much) visual filtering. Paper Mario doesn't have slowdown and DK64 runs at a much higher framerate which completely changes the practicality of frame rate exploits for speedruns and makes certain bosses/enemies harder.

Kinda fucking annoyed at the random level (30 higher than whatever I am) shits scattered around, or seeing a probe location on my map and heading there to find it's surrounded by level 40's and if I do get to it it won't let me activate it because my skill isn't high enough or some shit. Other than that it's fun.

Any advice? I know I don't get my Skell until like 20 hours in.

Also, I read about a coin battery on the side of the Wii U possibly being the issue but no explanation as to what it is or why it would be an issue.

I don't know, I just know that it fixed my issue so I thought it'd be worth looking into for you since it's a 5 minute deal.

I had the same issue with a Vita and solved it the same way.

When you're in your router, go to the WiFi area and you should see a bunch of stuff about MAC addresses, the security key, and WPS push button / pin entry stuff. Get the MAC address from your Wii U and add it to your router using the boxes available, and then go into your wii u and go to connections, create a new connection and look for the WPS PIN entry thing. It'll give you a 6 digit or so number that you put into your router and go from there.

Doing this solved all my connection issues when my router wouldn't interface with my Wii U.

Those are all on different pages and there's nothing about pin entry.

I assume WPS is wifi protected setup but some of my family only has WEP compatible stuff so I can't turn that on.

I appreciate the help but I'm going to sleep. I wish Nintendo wasn't so fucking garbage at wireless support. I had issue with their stupid wii network too though those were easier to figure out and had actual explanations.

Luckily this will probably be the last Nintendo product I buy early in its lifetime so I won't have to deal with this garbage anymore.

In the mean time, if anyone knows what the issue is in particular and has an answer, I'll still be checking the thread tomorrow.
