Story-wise compared to 999 or VLR it's pretty bad, in two words it's shallow and cheap.
Puzzles are fine, but again compared to VLR are a lot easier.

We have LE DLC codes for servants like Nero and Gil. Also Purchase bonuses:

Anywhere: Nero and Arthur
Loppi/HMV: A male character (Unannounced afaik)

MC will apparently have different, craftable outfits that will allow them to use different Codecasts (spells to assist the playable servant), but we don't know if they will actually show up on the player's model.

The biggest reason why ZTD seems so off is because it turned into a movie.
The dialogue boxes are completely removed, and while it's not really bad, it does feel unfitting for the game.

That, and they just kinda go full retard near the very end despite starting off decently.

This. There are a lot of parts that are pretty good (the Stranded Pair fragment is one of the most memorable ones), but the ending ruins the entire game's appeal. I assume they ran out of money and couldn't animate what was in the post-ending cards.

All the complaints about animation quality are mostly for the handheld versions, I played it twice on PC and Vita and the PC port never dropped frames so all the cinematics looked less wonky and cheap.

I think ZTD benefited from the movie choice, even if it did become a little long winded at times. VLR's stills always made me think about those early awkward 3D porn images when they'd come up. The most tragic thing in ZTD is that the english dub is much worse than VLR's imo, but they weren't so bad that I'd use the japanese dub. I did switch between them a lot early on and I got a big kick out of the japanese version of the axe scenario.

As far as the ending, I appreciate what they did, but it was a little too cartoon villain and was super guilty of badguy monologue..

So far there's just VD, Net High, and Uppers that I'm aware of. VD just had a site accidentally list a release with PQube as a publisher in Europe.
They're all Marvelous games but it also can't be S.O.P. to give all their Japanese Marvelous games English trophies since if that were true then Luminous Arc Infinity and IA/VT would have English trophies which they don't.

I don't get why people have to use the phrase "as a JRPG" fan to validate their opinion. No offense. I've played every RPG (as JRPG and WRPG are stupid terms) since the snes. Though my opinion is biased, being a fan of the series, it was more Star Ocean.

Seeing bosses do moves that were done in second story seeing moves re-appear having not been done since 1, and music from across the series being played was nice.

That said, I do find your opinion understandable. Somebody who doesn't have any kind of investment to the series wouldn't appreciate these things, and it's limited budget would be all the more apparent to these individuals the 7th time they had to backtrack through 5 zones to do 1 quest out of 100+.

Many of which don't have a world map you actually travel on, don't run at that resolution and frame rate, and are sole projects. There is also a pretty big difference in quality. Think Zesteria, which is ugly to look at, had the worst post-game in the series, and which mechanics worked against it.

Last time I was looking, kity would let you send them a vita and they'd do the kit install for you and just charge you for the kit and the shipping.

The soldering isn't too bad to install the kit, but there's tricks to cutting and mounting your out-port and it's a serious pain.

Either way, the other problem with the nisetro card is that it's actually grabbing the raw video signal and sending it straight through to a drawing program you have to run on your PC. It's actually pretty heavy duty in terms of processor if you don't want frame drops, and because of the USB data limit (it's not a 3.0 card) at full 960x544 res you have to choose between dropping your color depth to 10-bit to stay at progressive scan or switch to interlace to keep the native 16-bit.

And on top of that, because the view is a windows program, to actually record you'll likely be running a windows capture/encode process on the same system, which can interrupt the draw program's fps.

The TLDR is: it's really not worth it unless you have a real hardcore serious burning desire for raw Vita capture. Otherwise, use a PSTV and standard capture card setup.
